"Our plan kinda reminds me of Robin Hood, to save people", Bob said.

"Did you ever read or watch the movie of Robin Hood because he is know to steal from the rich to give to the poor?", Mark said.

"OH", Bob said.

As I chuckled I began to relize how far we come. Buy now I was probably 13, which I was surprised that I even survived any of this. I could picture Mark and Fritz and the older ones to survive but me. I could never picture that.

"I guess Fall is coming..", Fritz said breaking my thoughts. I looked at Fritz as he pointed to a tree next to a building that was starting to turn orange.

"That's bad", Bob said.

"Why?", Kate asked.

"Because after fall its winter and we wont be able to travel far if it snows", Bob replied.

"We need to start looking for a permanent place to stay...", Annalee said.

"But why? Why stop? There are people out there as confused and lost as we were in the beginning", I said. "I agree on finding a forever place o stay but think about it",.

"She is right, Bob", Annalee said.

"Maddie lets set up camp here in this city", Bob said. "If  people stubble upon here we will be there",.

"Okay...Lets do it", I said. "Where?",.

The group looked around the half-exploded city.

"How about the top of that building?", Alexander said pointing up to a not so high building that was still standing.

"Sure, good eye", I said smiling.

"Thanks", Alex said as we began to walk towards the building.

"It looks like it use to be a hotel of some sort", Mark said.

"Yea",I agreed. I stepped up to the glass door and pressed my face up against the glass to look inside.

"I guess people here weren't running out of here in a hurry.. the place looks great", I said backing up and opening the door. From all of the places we have had to sleep at this has been the nicest. It looked like it had not been abandoned long and besides there being no electricity we could see fine from the sunlight streaming from the window.

"Okay split up and find a stair case and not a elevator because there is no power", I said. Everyone walked by them selves and I watched as Annalee and Ava searched the lobby desk for anything while Anna was going through suitcases with no locks on them. Fritz and Kate were staring at something on the walls so I walked over to them.

"Whatcha find?", I asked.

"A map of the city", Fritz said placing a finger on a glass barrier between us and a piece of paper with a pretty well drawn map of this city.

"Break the glass so we can get that map", I said.

"Okay move", I heard a voice said behind me and I was quick enough to dodge a flying brick which hit the glass smashing it.

"Alex you could have killed some one", Kate scolded.

"That's one way of doing it", I said bending down and picking up the smashed frame, turning it over and pulling out the map. I rolled it up and stuck it in my bag on my back before finding out that Mark found a ladder to the roof.  We were gonna be home.
