Lanique

Nique sat in the back of the class not really paying attention. An annoying Tasha was talking niques ear off. All nique could think about the problems her and shawn had been having all week. They were good one minute and the next they were fighting.

"Nique are you listening" Tasha said flipping her box braids.

"Wha- yea yea I am" nique said dazeing back off into space. Pretty soon her phone vibrated with a message from dre.

"Come to the gym" the message said.

"Otw" nique texted back. Nique wondered what dre had wanted.

Pretty soon nique had found herself walking to the gym.

Drequan

Dre had decided to covense nique to skip the rest of the day. It seemed like she had been having a lot on her mind and he didn't like the quiteness his best friend was giving him.

"Hey nique nique" dre said giving nique a small hug.

"What did you want dre" nique said not even saying hey back.

"Well I know you don't wanna do this but, I think we should skip the rest of the day. Let's go to the park or sit in a restaraunt like old times".

"I don't know dre I mean it ain't right to skip"

"I know nique but, I don't like how you've been acting lately so to take your mind off were leaving ".

"Ok fine dre but, were not doing this again for a while".

Dre and nique took the back exit out of the gym like last time they skipped. Nique trailed behind dre walking slowly to the car. This was gonna be a relaxing day dre thought to himself.

Lanique

"Can we go to IHOP dre dre I've been craving some french toast since forever" nique said with a pouty face and hoping dre would give into her demand.

"You only call me that when you want something but, since you asked yea I guess" dre said showing off his million dollar smile.

"Yay"nique said. Dre just turned on the radio because, it was to quite.

"OH MY GOSH! Leave it right there dre"nique said moving dres hand. Black streets kiss good night played as nique sung along.

Lately I've been thinking that some things going wrong

Because you got an attitude and your not in the mood like you use to-

Nique stopped to see that dre had been recording her on Snapchat as she was singing.

"Dre delete that shit its not funny" dre just laughed as he posted it with the caption "when ya best friend think she got them vocals".

"Imma get you back for that shit" nique said as the pulled up into ihops parking lot.

"Best friend can I ride on your back " nique said with a big smile.

"Fuck no nique you to heavy and we are not kids no more"

"Drequan no I'm not and you weigh more than me" nique said folding her arms in a pout.

"Fine but, hurry up I don't want anybody to see us doing this embarrassing shit" dre said bending so nique could hop on his back.

"Can I get booth for two please" dre said causing the lady to look at him and nique.

"Sure and can I say that you guys are the cutest couple ever. Young love I tell you" the lady with blonde hair said.

"Um no Mrs were just bestfriends" dre said with a small smile.

"Oh my gosh! I'm sorry I just thought that you guys were together"

"Its ok ma'am you didn't know" dre said smiling once again.

"Well I'll be your server this evening my name is Julia but, you can call me Julie. What kind of drinks can I get for you both"

"I'll take a sprite" nique said looking up from her phone.

"I'll take a Dr. Pepper"

"Ok I'll be right back with your drinks"Julie said walking off.

"Nique what do you think of Mia" dre said out of no where. His best friends opinion mattered to him.

"Well its something about her that throws me off honestly. She seems like cool people though but, she doesn't seem like the girl you would have on your arms" nique said honestly.

"Well what type of girl do you think should be on my arms" dre said with a smile.

"A girl that's chill and laid back that you could tell everything to. I just honestly feel like Mia isn't it". Nique knew that she really wanted to say that the girl dre needed was her but,that would be wrong. She knew that she had Shawn to think about.

"So what are you saying I shouldn't be with her" dre said confused.

"No, you be with who ever you wanna be with I'm just giving you my honest opinion of her"nique said. She knew that this would be hard to eventually have to dre her feelings for him.

Drequan

After eating

Dre felt a little on edge about the talk him and nique had about Mia. So many people were telling him don't be with her but, he seen something in her that nobody else saw. He decided that he wasn't going to take advice from anyone anymore.

"I got one more question nique" dre said nervously.

"What is it"

"Do you think that I should finally make things official with Mia. I mean we have been talking for three months already " dre said matter of factly.

A wave of jealousy washed over nique. She was kind of hurt but, she knew this was coming so she prepaid herself for it.

"Ye-yea y'all have been talking long enough"nique said with a fake smile.

"Cool imma ask her out tomorrow" dre said with a huge smile. Knowing that he wouldn't be single anymore made him happy.

This made nique even more jealous. It was hard to hide her true feelings for dre. Little did she know dre had been doing it for years.
