"

He's just toying with us." Marge stares hauntingly at the empty tree. "He's not here for a fight. He would never start anything without an army by his side. There will be many more when the battle begins."

Riley's chest is puffed out, going full Alpha mode. People stare at him, waiting for directions, but I decide to speak up.

"Alright people. He's too much of a pussy to show himself. So I say... we ignore him. We will not take part in his games, let's finish this ceremony." I keep my voice strong.

I glance at Riley staring at me with pride. My cheeks heat up in embarrassment, I step back so he can go to the podium. He nods his head at me in understanding, and instead walks up to me, his chest at my forehead. My breath catches as he brushes his lips against mine.

He turns to the crowd. "Luna Emily Pronto!"

Then he shockingly reels his head down, biting down on my neck once more. No pain this time, just a light head, an airiness that leaves me breathless. I feel hundreds of pack members being connected to my mind, heart, and soul. My new Alpha lifts his head in a loud howl, everyone following suit and tilting towards the sky, copying their leader. A pressure build in my chest, it almost feels like I want to join in on the tune they have set. Riley stops abruptly, staring awe-struck at my eyes. What the hell?

"E-Emily?" He stutters cautiously.

A loud cackle is sounded from high in the trees. We all look up, seeing Damien with a wide grin, swinging his legs and rocking his body in laughter. This time I know we all see him.

"I knew it!" He howls in laughter. "Look at you! You dirty mutt! I'll be back for you. Don't doubt it."

He sneers, throwing himself off his branch, falling and then vanishing into mid-air. No one has time to react, their attention solely on me, worriedly checking out my eyes.

"Can someone tell me what the hell is going o-"I'm cut off by fiery pain irrupting through my body.

I hear everyone gasp in horror, before my screams cut everyone off. Dropping to my knees, I hunch over, the pain too much to bear. The fire burns me from the inside out as Riley's blurry face comes into view. His lips move, but I hear nothing.

I feel rather than hear the cracking and breaking that is my bones. More pain comes with each painful break, my arms and legs being thrown in odd random ways. My back snaps backward, and then I lurch forward, lying on my stomach, relieved when the pain is no more.

"I think its gone Riley." I pant.

Oh my god.

Why the fuck did that come out as a series of barks?!

"Riley! What the fuck?" Bark, bark, bark!

I glare up at him as he eyes me in shock. Help me you fool!

Going to stand I whine as my legs don't cooperate, all four of them. FOUR?! FOUR!!!! Oh god! I hear my own yaps of hysteria. Oh lord. Help. Help. Help. I crawl along the ground rapidly, going in panicked circles. Riley seems to snap out of it and chuckles at me. WTF?!

Mind link me.

RILEY! You bastard! Help me! What's happening? What...AH!

A spider scuttles beside me, making me quickly drag myself away in a scramble. When I look back up Riley is nowhere to be found.

"Bastard!" Bark!

I huff in relief when I spot the black Alpha wolf strutting toward me. Lying down next to me he pushes his nose against my stomach repeatedly trying to make me stand.
