The conditions to change ownership of the elder wand aren't necessarily death, only disarming is enough to change ownership (as we saw in the Deathly Hallows with Harry and Malfoy, and again in Half-Blood Prince with Malfoy and Dumbledore) so, therefore, unless Harry killed himself (or died of natural causes) before any one else could disarm him, the ownership of the elder wand would pass to whoever could successfully disarm him in the future.
