= Liam's POV =

"I'm not talking about you being drunk last night. I meant this." I tell her, trying to control my anger but it was clear in my voice. I hand her my phone so she could see the picture of her and Richard, kissing. She sucked in her breath as she saw it.

"Let me explain." she says softly and I could see tears forming at the corner of her eyes. It broke my heart.

"What else is there to explain, Lexi? The picture says it all." I reply, looking at the ground. I couldn't bear to see her sad, hurt or much worse - on the verge of crying.

"He kissed me. He grabbed me, then kissed me Liam." she tells me. She starts crying and I all I want to do was to hug her. But she hurt me. I feel as if someone stabbed me in the heart with a knife.

"You let him kiss you." I say softly, almost making it come out as a whisper. She didn't reply, there was silence. The silence was killing me. I looked at her and tears continued pouring down her face. "You did, didn't you?" I asked, even if I already knew the answer to it.

She bit her lip, "It was only for a second. I was quite drunk, and - " she explains, blaming it on the alcohol even if she wasn't that drunk. She sighs and starts sobbing again, "I'm sorry, Liam. I swear I made him pay for it."

"I know you did." I tell her, "But what hurt me most is that you let him kiss you. Even if it was only for a second." I stand up, making her look up at me, "It only means that you still have feelings for him. They're just buried in there somewhere." I turn to leave, not wanting to cry in front of her.

She grabs my arm and stands up, "I'm sorry Liam. I swear, I'm over him." I pull my arm away from her grip and start walking away. "Please don't do this to me, Liam. It won't happen again. Please, I need you." she pleaded.

"Why don't you go back to Richard? I'm sure he's more than willing to take you back. You like kissing him, don't you?" I say to her. As soon as the words escaped from my lips, I immediately regretted it. I wanted to take it back, but it was too late. How can I say such a thing? Once again, I let my jealousy get the best of me.

She looks at me and her face was full of different emotions. The most evident were hurt, sadness, pain, and betrayal. She walks right past me and runs towards the front door.

"Lexi, no! Wait!" I shout, but I was too late. She had walked out the front door, leaving me standing there.

"Are you serious, Liam? How could you say that to her?" Louis shrieks, hitting my head. Of course, the boys were evesdropping.

"Don't you have any idea how much you hurt her?" Niall asks, shaking his head.

"You better go make sure she's ok." Harry says, looking at the door.

"Of course she's not okay! Liam freaking hurt her! You let your jealousy get the best of you!" Zayn shouts, getting really mad.

"I know." I sigh, walking over towards the living room and sitting on the couch. Louis and Niall sit next to me while Harry sits on the floor as Zayn paces around back and forth - he was acting as if it was his fault.

"You need to be able to trust her, mate." Louis says softly.

"Louis' right. Your relationship won't last if you don't know how to trust her." Zayn adds.

"I know." I say again, sighing. "I just, I got jealous and mad when I saw the picture. I knew she loved Richard a lot and I just thought that she still might not be over him."

"As far as I know, Lexi is completely over Richard. She loves you." Harry says, patting my lap.

"How did you even get to see the picture, anyway?" Niall asks.

I sigh, "Someone posted it on twitter and I was mentioned in it. I was looking through tweets and I came across it." I tell them.

"You have no idea what you have just done, Liam Payne." Zayn says, clicking his tongue.

"I messed up!" I shout, resting my head on my hands. "I just broke the heart of the most amazing girl I've ever met. And now, she won't forgive me."

"How can you say that? You haven't even tried." Louis says, smiling a bit.

"Because - "  I try to reason with him, but Zayn cut me off.

"Swallow your pride and go get your bum over to her place!" Zayn shouts, pointing at the door. And I did what I should have done a few minutes ago. I grabbed my car keys and ran out, headed to Lexi's house.

As soon as I got to her house, I ran out of the car and furiously knocked on the door. Paul opens it with a worried look, "She's upstairs. You better do it right, Liam." he says before I could speak. I nod and run up the stairs, towards her room.

"Lexi?" I ask, knocking on her door. There was no answer. I try to open the door, but of course, it was locked. "Lexi? Can you please open the door? We need to talk. Please." I begged. Still no answer.

"Leave me alone." she finally replies after a few seconds. I could hear her crying. I wanted to break open this door - kick it if I have to, and wipe the tears off her beautiful face and cuddle her in my arms.

"I'm sorry." I tell her, placing my forehead on the door. "I'm sorry I got jelous about it. I'm sorry about what I said earlier. It was immature, hurtful and I really shouldn't have said it." I sigh, "I'm sorry for not trusting you, Lexi." I finally say, swallowing my pride.

"We can't do this if you don't know how to trust me." she says as I hear her blowing her nose softly. "What if when you're away and you see pictures of me with other lads, you'll just break up with me because you don't trust me." she sighs, "I trust you Liam. And I thought that you trust me too."

"I'm sorry." I apologize. "I'm sorry I doubted you. I should never have. You're right, I should trust you. And I will. Please, give me another chance." I beg her. "We can work this out, I promise." I tell her.

I could hear her walking towards the door and she finally unlocks it. I immediately open it and my heart breaks as I see her face. Her nose, eyes and cheeks were all red and quite sore from crying. I pull her in to hug her, tightly. "I'm so sorry." I whisper.

"I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have let him kiss me. Even if it was only for a second." she apologizes as she buries her head in my chest. "I forgive you." she whispers.

A smile creeps out on my lips, "Thank you."

A few minutes go by and we just stand there, hugging each other. It didn't feel uncomfortable or awkward. Instead, it felt like she really belonged there - in my arms.

"I love you." I tell her, pulling her away a bit so that I could look into her eyes. "I love you, Lexi Higgins."

She finally smiles, making my heart beat fast. "I love you too, Liam Payne." she replies.

I lean down and kiss her with all I've got.

She's now back in my arms again.

And I have no plans on letting her go.
