Hayes' POV

"I just want a reasonable explanation why Jill was over."

"And I told you. She was just there." I say, shrugging my shoulders.

"You knew I was coming home."

"You know I don't love you, right?" I ask Jenny.

"Our wedding is coming up very soon. It's right around the corner. We will get married. We will have kids. We will start a family. For all, my dad does owe you." Jenny says, smirking.

"He doesn't own me," I snap.

"You are famous because of my dad, right? I'd hate to see that all crashing down.." Jenny says, walking away.

"No! Wait!" I say.

She whips her long blonde hair towards me and looks at me.

"What?"

I walk over to her and crash my lips against here. They were so cold. Not like Jill's.. Jill's we're addictive. I could kiss them forever, unlike Jenny's.

Jenny brings her hands through my hair as I push her up against the wall. She deepens the kiss.

Call me selfish, but I'm wishing it was Jill right now. I pick her up and she immediately wraps her legs around my waist and her arms around my neck. I never let the kiss go. I grip her hair.

She soon lets go.

"I'm better than her," Jenny says, whispering.

She grabs my face with both of her hands. Then she slowly kisses me once again.

This is not what I want.

I set Jenny down.

"Before Jill, I was a mess of emotions, a hurricane of anger, a whirlwind of pain. And then she came, and showed me how to smile, because of her stupid jokes and smart comments. She taught me to trust, she never betrayed me, and she never left my side. She showed me to explore, because I searched her soul for treasure, and I looked in her mind for dreams. She showed me to listen, because as she spoke, the world silenced and strained to hear the soft and comforting hum that whispered its secrets and shouted its passions. After her, I was a mess of emotions, a hurricane of anger, a whirlwind of pain. But at least I had her to call my own." I say.

"You honestly need to forget about her." Jenny says.

"I can't," I say, "she's in my mind constantly."

"I should be in your mind all the time. You are always in mine."

"Bullshit. I know you cheat on me Jenny. I'm not an idiot."

She stays silent.

"You don't have proof."

"I don't need proof to know you are with another guy." I say, finally taking that smirk.

She gasps, "I have to go to work. I won't be back till late at night! Don't wait up on me!"

"Wow, thanks for telling me you are with a guy this time instead of just keeping it a secret!" I yell out as she shuts the door in my face and head into her car.

I pick up my phone.
