Cara woke up with a massive headache, she felt as though there was someone with a sledgehammer doing a number on her head but all that was forgotten the moment she realized that she was not in her room and that there was someone sleeping very soundly beside her, she quickly peeked under the sheets and almost had a heart attack - SHE WAS NAKED! NAKED! That only meant one thing, she had slept with some stranger - she actually had a one night stand, but that was not what made her start silently crying, it was the fact the one thing that she had kept sacred, was now gone, her virginity. She had always wanted to lose her virginity to her husband, the man she was going to be spending the rest of her life with.

She looked at the man sleeping beside her and she mildly smiled, at least she lost it to a handsome guy and not some hobo-looking individual. She tried to think of the night before and found that she could only remember bits and pieces of what had happened, the last clear memory of the before was telling the guy they should go to his place. She felt stirring beside her and decided it was time for her to get the hell out of there, before Mr. Adonis over there decided to wake up.

She quickly collected her clothes hastily putting them on, she looked for her other earring and couldn't find it and decided she could buy others, it's not like it held any sentimental value. She took her phone, shoes and purse and fled the room like a bat straight out of hell and accidentally banged the door. OH SH*T, she thought as she quickly ran and decided she could put on her shoes after she was out of the house. She ran into someone and felt her cheeks heat up as she blushed because she knew that he knew exactly why she was running as though she was being chased.

"W..w..where is the door?" she stammered unable to look him in the eye. He smiled politely at her and led her to the door. She mumbled a quick thank you and got out of there. She hailed a cab and went home still not believing what she had done. She was not the kind of girl to get randomly drunk, let alone have a one night stand. That was when she remembered the real reason she decided to go and get drunk.

She quickly got into the house and found her father asleep on the couch and immediately felt guilty because she knew he had fallen asleep waiting up for her. That was one of the few nights that she spent out late but this was probably the only night she spent out if you don't count the sleep overs she had as kid. She walked over to the couch and woke him up.

"Hey dad, wake up." She said slightly shaking him awake. He woke up with a start and quickly hugged her.

"Cara, where the hell were you? I was worried sick and when I called your phone you wouldn't pick up and then at some point in the night it wouldn't go through. Where were you?" Paul asked frantically.

"I'm sorry dad. I just went out to clear my head and then my phone battery died so I couldn't call you. I'm really sorry for worrying you." She couldn't bring herself to tell him where she had spent the night. "I'm going to take a shower" she said softly and with that stood and went to her room to take a long, well-needed shower.

About two days later a package arrived for her. She signed for it and went inside quickly opening it. It was a wedding gown, shoes and various other accessories.

"Well looks like I don't have to worry about going gown-hunting. It seems as though this people, who I haven't even met, have everything under control. But would it kill them to even arrange a meeting before everything happens?" Cara thought out loud.

"Sorry honey but the only time you will be able to meet them, will be the day of the rehearsal which is two days before the wedding, that is when everyone is meeting up," her father said startling her, she hadn't heard him arrive. She held up the gown and surprising enough was the fact that it was not only in her size, even the shoes that came with it were all in her size.

"Hey daddy, how do they know my size?" she asked him absentmindedly trying on the shoes.

"oh that. They told me to send them your sizes and.. yeah, there you are." Paul answered as he continued preparing there dinner. Cara just nodded as she admired the beautiful shoes that were now on her feet.

The next few days passed in a blur and before she knew it, it was the day of the rehearsal dinner. She had never been so tense and nervous in her life, well if you count her first day in high school, then this would be the second most nervous moment in her life. She rang the doorbell and the door was opened by an elderly man who looked strangely familiar but she couldn't quite remember where she saw him.

Zander couldn't still believe that the girl he had spent the night with had disappeared before he could wake up. He had wanted to know her name and at least know if he could see her again before he got married to the unknown woman he was to meet that evening.

He was in his room when he had the doorbell ring and he knew that now was the time he got to meet the faceless woman he was to marry, he just hoped that she was not ugly at all because even if he just could not imagine he had to get married to someone who looked... well who was ugly.

He let out a loud sigh as he opened his door and got out of his room to meet the woman of his dreams he thought sarcastically. He walked down the stairs and into the living room, just before he entered he heard a voice that was vaguely familiar but he couldn't for the life of him remember where he heard it.

"Hey guys," he said walking into the living room. The woman talking to his sister turned and he could see her face paling at the sight of him, she looked as though she had seen a ghost, well, all he did was smirk coldly at her but inside he couldn't believe that she was the woman he was supposed to marry. She was the same woman who he had met at the club and who had ran before he even wake up. How was he supposed to marry someone who slept around with just about anyone? (assumptions! assumptions!)

Cara couldn't believe her eyes, it was the same guy from that fateful night and she couldn't help but pale at the realization. She felt sick to the stomach. She subtly took a deep breath hoping it would help her ease the nausea. It sorta helped

"HEllo, I'm Cara Winters." She said shyly unable to meet his eyes.

"Now she decides to be shy," Zander mumbled, " Zander Morreti." She heard his name but she had also heard what he had said before. She felt her insides freeze, so he thought she was a slut who slept with just about anyone.

"Cara, I'd like to talk to you alone for a minute." Zander said coldly and with finality, it wasn't a request and Cara, noting this, followed him quietly out of the room.

"Now listen here, we are going to get married and since I get the impression that you sleep around with just about anyone, I expect you to be faithful to me during this marriage - I don't like scandals and I also expect you to be very respectful and obedient." He said this with a tone of finality and walked out of the room to join the others without even giving her the time to respond or even defend herself.

Cara couldn't believe her ears, as she stared at the man that was supposed to be her husband in a matter of hours. He didn't even wait for her to say anything in her own defense; she felt tears burning her eyes but forced herself not cry and walked out of the kitchen to rejoin everyone else. She went back to talking to Zander's sister Elisabeth Morreti, who seemed friendly enough but as they talked Elisabeth noticed that she was not in the same mood as she was before and that she seemed to be sad and a little depressed.

"Hey Cara, are you alright you seem a little down after talking to my brother," Elisabeth asked her quietly.

"Yeah, it's nothing Lisa, I'm ok." Cara said looking at Zander but inside she couldn't help but feel a little depressed because of the words Zander had said to her that kept replaying over and over in her head, she didn't want her future husband to think of her as a slut who enjoyed sleeping around. She wanted at least, if not for love that they would be friends but from the way Zander talked to her she knew that there would be no sort of friendship happening there.

They then had their rehearsal where everyone was told where they would be and where to stand and all that jazz, though she paid attention Cara couldn't quite stop thinking of what Zander had told her in the kitchen. The night progressed with her constantly receiving cold looks from Zander that always seemed to send a shiver down her spine. Before long the night was over and just as she was about to leave she was told by Elisabeth that she would not be spending the night at her home but at Elisabeth's condo where they were also to prepare for the wedding taking place the following day.
