It's been an extremely long week. So much has happened. Dipper and I got more shopping done for the apartment, we had to track down a U-Haul to get our stuff to Lantern River, and I was busy working nonstop before my last day, which was today.

Friday's our usually our busier days because certain colored tags on items are 75%. And boy did I get a good day of work done for my last day at Falls Thrift. I got to talk to some usual costumers, and when I told them today was my last day, their faces instantly fell.

"Stay bright, Little Mabel," Mr. Wincoff told me as I checked out her items.

"Enjoy your life away from this dreaded town. I'm glad you're getting out," muttered Mr. Gallen

"Visit often and take care of yourself and that brother of yours!" said Mrs. Stephens said enthusiastically.

After a day of non-stop running, I was glad when the clock finally hit five o'clock and I could lock up for the night. I made sure the store was locked up tight and the cash was in the safe before poking my head in Jorge's tiny office shoved into the corner of the back room.

"Hey," I said poking my head in.

"Is it really five already?" Jorge asked, rubbing his hand and standing up from his chair.

"Sure is."

"Well, I guess this is it. Here's your paycheck and a little added bonus for all your hard work. Thanks for being one of the best employees this store has ever seen. Visit soon though, alright?" He asked, taking me into a half hug. I patted his back.

"I'll be back in town before you know it, Jorge," I replied, waving goodbye as I headed out the back door to the car Grunkle Stan, Dipper and I share. I got in and sat there for a moment.

By this time tomorrow, everything was going to be different.
