It was almost time to go back home to Toronto. Ella couldn't wait to get back home and get her life straightened out. She had a few eye opener moments in the last two weeks. She had to start to let go of the anger she still had towards Josh, the anger of him cheating on her and ruining their happy life that she thought they would have. She loved him still, but sometimes the one you love isn't the one you need. She knew that now. She was going to have a talk with him, tonight. She was nervous as hell to talk to him. Sara had a bright idea to have a huge family gathering before her and the boys left for home.
She was a little upset at first, but she knew she had to get over everything and get on with her life. This depressing Ella was really starting to get on her nerves. She needed to get dressed, she pulled on her light blue sun dress that was longer in the back, shorter in the front above the knee. She ran a brush through her hair. She could hear people arriving, she could hear her boys so that meant Josh was here as well.
She went downstairs and walked through the french doors that lead outside to the balcony. Everyone was there, including Josh's mom and dad. His sister and kids, who were pretty much grown up now.
"Hey beautiful." a smiley Matthew Webb said as he approached her. He pulled her into a hug, lifting her off of her feet a little.
"Awww it is so nice to see you." Ella said hugging him back. "It has been to long."
He set her down and smiled at her. "You look amazing." he said smiling big at her, Matt had the best smile.
"Don't look to bad yourself." Ella said taking him by the hand. "How have you been?"
"You know me, keeping busy with trench stuff right now. Just broke up with my girlfriend of three years. Which was really rough but I am doing better now."
"I am sorry to hear that Matt." Ella said as they sat down. She looked across the yard and seen her boys playing with their father. It was good to see the broken arm didn't slow Liam down.
"So how have you been?"
"I could be better, I am going to be better. I am letting go of my past and moving on. It was hard being a bitch." she said laughing a little. "I just couldn't let my anger that I had towards Josh go. I realized that it was unhealthy and that I needed to."
"That is good. I wish he would realize that Cassie isn't the right girl for him. But they are on again off again, and he sees other people."
"Oh really? I didn't realize that" Ella said looking at Josh again, who now was on the ground with three kids tackling him. Mike and Sara's little girl had joined in on the fight. "He told me he was in love with her."
Matt laughed out loud. "He isn't in love with her."
"Well it doesn't really matter who he loves and he doesn't"
"You don't care?""
"No I don't what he does as long as it doesn't affect the boys I don't care."
"I don't believe you Ella." Matt said as Ian came up and sat down on the other side of Ella, he put his arm around her.
"Hi Ella......it has been forever." Ian said smiling at her. "I have miss your smile."
"Hi Ian.....I see your wife over there giving you the evil eye. I don't think I have meant her yet, she looks lovely."
"She is." Ian said smiling. "She is a keeper."
"She is a beauty." Ella said smiling. "I am happy for you."
"Why thank you pet." Ian said grinning from ear to ear.
"I need to mingle boys." Ella said getting up and walking away.
Ian sat there smiling at Matt.
"What?" Matt asked Ian who was grinning like an idiot.
"You need to move in on that." Ian said
"ummmmmm .......first of all that is a crazy idea. I vaule my life and existance. Josh would fucking kill me."
"He is with Cassandra."
"Still Ian.....i can't do that." Matt said watching Ella talk to Josh's mom and dad. "I care to much for her to ruin it buy hooking up with her."
"Suit yourself."

The evening dragged on. Ella was bored, she had wanted to talk to Josh all evening but everytime she tried someone would interupt them or he was absorbed being all kissy face with Cassandra. Matt had said Josh didn't love her, but from where Ella stood, that was wrong. They actually were really cute together.
People were leaving, she had said good bye to Matt and Ian and Josh's parents and the rest of his family. Josh had just gone up to tuck the boys into bed. He was coming back down the stairs as Ella walked back into the house.
"Hi." she said softly as Josh came down the stairs. He looked up at her and gave her a famous half grin.
"Hi." he said smiling at her.
"Can we talk?"
"Sure." Josh said coming to her side. "Here, outside?"
"Outside. There is no one around out there now."
Josh followed her outside. Once outside they both sat down on the chair swing that was out there. Josh folded his hands in his lap.
"I just wanted to apologize for the last five years, I have been a real control freak bitch and I am very sorry for that. I am going to try to be more accepting to your life. I just have a hard time with your current girlfriend."
Josh watched her play with her fingers, and bite her lip. She was nervous. "It is okay." he said softly. "You had and have every right to not be happy with me. I ruined our happiness, and it is hard to move on and let go of something so perfect." he said looking into her eyes.
"I want you to be happy Josh."
He smiled again. "I want the same for you as well." he reached over and took her hand. "I still care about you." he said softly. "That is something that will never change. I still miss you like crazy."
Ella smiled back at him. "I miss you too." she said her voice cracking a little with emotion.
"Josh!" Cassandra yelled from the door that entered the house. "I want to go now."
Ella released his hand and gave him a small smile before she looked away at the ground.
Josh stood taking her hand again, helping her to her feet. Once she was standing he pulled into his arms and held her tightly.
"Sweetheart" he said softly. "You are the mother to my children, you will always have a special place in my heart. I will forgive you always for anything." he kissed her forhead and released her. "I will see you in a few months." he said smiling and walking away.
Ella sat back down on the bench she was sitting on, put her head in her hands and sobbed. He was the man of her dreams, he was her everything but they were just not meant to be. If she would of forgiving him five years ago, and not so much time had passed maybe they would still be together. God she was so stupid. Now she had to move on with her life as he did. She had to really try to live her life without mourning and pinnng over Josh Ramsay.
