Dear Diary,
After I left the cave this morning, I walked all the way to the town next to our village. It was cold and I didn't have shoes or a sweater. I was scared. I heard whispers coming from the trees but I didn't listen to them. When I got to the town I had been walking for 5 hours! My feet hurt but I was okay. I saw a house with a beautiful garden and a red front door so I went up to it and knocked on the door. A very pretty women opened the door and let me inside so she could get me some clothes and tea. She was very nice. I told her about Susan and what she did but she just chuckled and told me to bathe and get ready for bed. She made potatoes with gravy and carrots. It was very good. I'm spending the night here, so hopefully Susan won't bother me or the nice lady.
