"It's dead." Denise mumbled.
My heart sunk and I couldn't bring myself to look at Rick.
"How do we get the baby out of her?" Rick asked.
"Surgery possibly, she's thirteen weeks along." Denise answered.
"Do what you need to do." I mumbled.
"Don't worry. Everything's going to be okay, you're safe." Denise told me, hooking up an IV.
"I'll be right here." Rick replied, pressing his lips to mine.
Tears pooled around my eyes before I closed them.

Rick's POV

"She awake yet?" Daryl asked.
"Yeah." I mumbled.
"I'm sorry, man." He replied.
"It'll be okay. I'm just worried about her." I stated.
"She's a tough girl, she's strong." Maggie chimed in.
"I know." I replied.

"I'm sorry." Sam mumbled, a tear sliding down her cheek.
"It's not your fault." I replied, wrapping my hand around hers.
"I couldn't look at it." She replied.
"I know." I mumbled.
"I thought you'd hate me." She stated.
"I don't, and I'll never hate you. I'm telling you, it's not your fault." I replied.
She jumped, screams coming from the room next to hers.
"Rick!" Denise screamed.
"Don't move." I told Sam before running into the room beside us.
"He's having seizures, they won't stop!" Denise yelled.
I looked down at my son and tried not to panic as I watched him jerk around on the bed.
"I don't know what's causing it!" Denise added.
She sighed, his body relaxing.
"Okay, he's okay." Denise sighed, hooking a heart monitor up.
I quickly walked back into my room, finding Sam trying to get out of bed.
"Carl's okay." I replied, gently laying her back down.
"What happened?" She asked.
"He was having seizures, we're trying to figure out why." I answered.

I watched as Sam combed Judith's hair back before hugging her up to her.
"She loves you." I stated.
Sam smiled before Judith cooed out.
"We can try again if you want to. Not now, but soon." I mumbled.
Sam shook her head before handing Judith to me.
"Maybe." She replied.
