I wake up early to the sound of rocks against my window. I get up and carefully walk over to peer out.
Chase.
Open your window.
Chase?! What are you doing here?
I came to see you.
It's fvcking 3 in the morning!
Please. I couldn't stand it.
Ugh fine.
I unlock my window and watch as he immediately jumps up and latches onto the window sill, pushing open the windows.
I'm immediately encased in warm arms.
"Chase, you can't be here."
"I'm sorry, I just don't like that you don't live in the pack house with us, with me."
"I'm fine, after my friends leaves I'll spend more time with you, okay?"
"Why don't you move into the pack house once your friend leaves?"
"Wait, what?" I ask, stunned.
"Move in with me."
"I can't, it'll just make things harder."
"Why? Why does our happiness have to make things harder? Being together should make things easier. We need each other."
"Chase I can't do this kind of thing."
"I'd need to talk to my parents so they'd know, I'd have to tell my friend Rick. Then he couldn't really visit as much."
"It'll be fine. Your parents are wolves, they'll understand. They're wolves, right?"
"Yeah."
"Then this'll be easy. We just need their approval."
"You know what fine. I'll talk to them and I'll tell Rick about you. Now leave, I need sleep."
"Okay, by the way, you don't need to go to school anymore."
"Why?"
"I'm only supposed to go to school until I find my mate or graduate. I need to fulfill my Alpha duties."
"Okay, first I need to talk to them."
"Okay, love you."
"I love you, too," I say before he pulls my lips to his. I push away, I honestly can't do this and it hurts me so much.
"Go Chase," I say sadly. He listens to me and jumps back out the window.
I close the window and take a seat on my bed. I'm not supposed to have a real relationship during a mission. If they ever occur it has to be fake, I've never actually felt something.
If the council knew about this is I'd be committing a major crime. They monitor everything although werewolves have exceptions.
If we ever find our mate we are to tell the council immediately so they can determine whether or not we can trust them with the information of our organization. If they aren't trustworthy they're killed. If they can be trusted I am to tell them who I am. Then it's their choice to accept or reject.
