Dear Diary,
This morning when I woke up, it was very quiet in the hotel. The sun wasn't up yet, so I tried to go back to sleep. My stomach wouldn't let me because I was so hungry. I decided to leave my hotel room and find something to eat. I silently closed the door behind me as I crept out of the room and down the hallway. Suddenly, I stopped because I felt breathing on the back of my neck. I knew Susan was right behind me. Instead of turning around and facing my old friend, I ran as fast as I could down the dark and silent hallway. I ran to the lobby to hide, but Susan was already there. I saw that she was holding something but I didn't know what it was. I ran behind the sofa to hide but I felt something warm and sticky behind it. I stood up and looked at the ground. It was the red liquid. I ran towards the door to escape, but Susan was in the way! I saw she was actually holding the head of the man who showed me the hotel. I screamed and ran past Susan and out into the dark, cold morning. I ran and ran until I found a forest. I ran there and stayed until about 9:00 at night. Then, I fell asleep. The end of another miserable day.
Love,
Lucy Belle
