My mum never left my side for the next few days. My brother came sometimes, but he never said much. Neither did my dad. His mistress came once, as I could hear hushed whispers coming from the corridor. She never got to see me though, and for the first time, I was glad that I was not able to as well.
The world was moving so quickly, but all I could see was darkness.
