When I opened my eyes, it wasn't the bright lights that scared me. Neither was it the blurred figures beside the hospital bed. My mum was holding my hand so tightly, it felt like circulation had been cut off.
"Can you see me?" She stood up, waving her hands in front of my eyes.
I could make out the shape of her body. There was a lady beside her. Was that Stacey? There was a man on the other side of the bed. Was that you?
"Can you see me?" He asked. It wasn't you.
I nodded.
