Ashley

-

Shoulders collided briefly in the crowded hallways of Fine Arts High. My brown eyes glared at sexy blue ones as a smile met my lips. I was obviously amused by the sight of an annoyed Andy who had just let his books fall to the ground in front of me. I watched as the flesh on Andy turned crimson red.

"Watch where you're going," He snarled, clearly not in the mood.

"Hmm, I like 'em feisty," I smirked, as people continued to pass around us.

"Jerk," He muttered under his breath, glaring at me trying to fight a smile.

"What's wrong, baby?" I asked, moving to collect his belongings and give them to him.

"Ew, do not call me that." He said in disgust.

"Then, what shall I call you?" I questioned. "Cupcake? Sexy? Blue eyed angel?" he chuckles.

"How about my name?"

"I could, but you see, I rather not." I removed my gaze from Andy's slim body to another guy who was walking by. "Hey there, Johnnie. You're lookin' fine today."

"Thanks, Ashley," he giggled, passing by. I looked back at Andy who had a straight face.

"Could you be any more of pig?"

"Aw, baby, you jealous?" I asked as if I were talking to a three year old.

"Not really." Andy shot back, shoving his books into his locker and slamming it shut. It was full of Batman stuff. I liked that about him. It's cute.

"So that means I'm attractive, right?"

Andy laughed. "In your dreams, man."

"I leaned against the locker. "We should really do something about this."

Andy scrunched up his face. "What are you smoking?"

"I'm being serious. C'mon, you can't deny it, babe."

"When did you figure this out?" he asked, looking around. It appeared as if Andy and I were the only ones left in the hallway.

"Awhile ago. I don't know. I saw that jerk, Jake talking to you as if you two were old buddies or something. You twisted your hair around and you blushed. I felt like somebody had just punched me in the gut."

Andy giggled at me. "Awe, It appears that you are the one who is jealous, Ashley, not me."

"That's fair, but will you date me?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because I refuse to be yet another person fall head over heels for you." he said looking to the ground. "Besides, I don't even like you in that way.."

"How about you look me in the eye and saw that, cutie?" I pressed Andy's back against a locker. "Tell me that there isn't anything going on between us."

"What fantasy world are you leaving in?"

"I just want to hear you say it.." I whispered.

"Back up, man, Just because I may be attracted to you physically, doesn't mean I'm ready to jump into a relationship. I don't wanna get my heart broken."

"I do, but taking chances is what I do." I smirked. "I'm adventurous like that."

"See? That's what I mean. The last thing I want to be is your newest toy."

"Look, you mean more to me than that. I want to be with you, but you're making it really difficult. You keep shooting me down here. I like you Andy."

"I'm sorry, but I don't want to be involved and have it turn into something only to have it blow up in my face."

I took Andy into my arms, and let my lips quickly brush over his."You can't be so scared about everything."

"Oh, yes I can," he whispered in reply.

"Would you really deny us?"

"I don't want to fall for you. I'm not interested in letting you, or anyone, hurt me."

I rolled my eyes. "You know, you're going to look pretty dumb when we're telling our future kids this."

Andy giggled a little. "Shut up."

"How about we compromise? One date? Please."

"Whatever," he replied. "Since when did you become romantic?"

"So . . . Is that a yes?" I said smiling big. He rolled his eyes laughing.

"Yes, Ashley, that's a yes." he smiled.

"Score!" I yelled jumping around the empty hallway as Andy stood there laughing at me.

"Ok, so let's get to class baby." I took the love of my life in my hand and we walked to class.
