TITLES!!!!
Werewolves usually live in a pack.
Titles are the leaders of the pack.
Titles consist of the following....in order from most powerful to least;
ALPHA-usually a male(They believe guys are more powerful)totally disagree(;
LUNA-not all packs have a Luna. She is the only girl Title. She is also the Alphas mate so if the Alpha didn't find his mate yet, there will not be a Luna yet. Luna's are my favorite because they are the only girls in charge and they have their ways of persuading their Alphas to do what they want(;
BETA-the Alphas second in command. Very important also and when the Alpha is gone, the Beta is in charge of the pack. The Beta is almost always with the Alpha (I guess it depends) and stands on the Alphas right hand side til death
3RD IN COMMAND-not all packs have a third in command, but judging on the books I've read it's good to have one. He is, well, the third in command but stands on the Alphas left hand side. Depending on packs, sometimes the third in command watches over the Luna a lot- like her body guard. (Which is a very important job(ch 7 later on tells you)) The third in command also attends meeting with the Alpha and Beta and helps them make decisions.
That is all of the Titles-Alpha, Luna, Beta, and 3rd In Command.
Titles are passed down from family to family (father to first born son)- except for the Luna which is whoever the Alphas mate is.
Titles carry power with them and the rest of the pack can feel it emanating from them. Alpha of course has say over all the other Titles and his voice can command anyone in his pack to do anything.
When wolves hear the Alpha speak- or if they are in his presence for that matter - they feel the need to bow down to him and do whatever he says even if they don't agree.
This doesn't mean that packs are a dictatorship however. Most Alphas are good, strong leaders and do what's best for their pack.
If the Title goes to their head an they get carried away it is possible to...I guess you could say 'impeach' them. But only if what he is doing is endangering the pack an the pack disagrees with his decisions.
