Trouble-maker

I slowly followed Mr. Reid to the office, hoping that I am not in trouble on my first day at school.  I feel little guilty. But standing up for my self in front of some bad heartless girls isn’t something wrong. Compare to the stuff I have done back at my university in Ausi.

Mr. Reid walked into the office room first and I stood outside hoping he would call me after he is all settled. Then his assistant came to me and called me to come inside since he was waiting for me

I pushed opened the door of his office and he was sitting in his chair and was frowning at me

“Ms. Gilbert, please come in” he said with a harsh tone which made me pass waves of shiver on my body

“Sir, why did you ask me to be here?”

“Why do you think you are here?”

“Well…. For standing up for myself? Is that wrong?”

“Of course it is? You made a big situation back there and that disturbed the schools classes and lectures. Didn’t you notice that?”

“But sir… “

“No buts...and now you’re talking against your headmaster?”

“Sorry sir.” I didn’t know what to say and how to react but instead I only could keep faced down and listen to him

“Tell me. Who brought you to this mentality?” he stood up from his chair and walked towards me

“What mentality?” I was confused about what he was talking about

“That the school isn’t a good place and to work against the students and go for such fights?”

Is he trying to tangle Stephan for this problem and take revenge from him for all the wrong thing he had done? I knew he was up to something so I defended others and talked for my self.

“No one!  Those girls got into my nerves. Calling me a mutant and  ...” before I could continue Mr. Reid stopped me

“STOP! That’s enough... you think I don’t know about the fact that you hang around too much with Stephan? the senior grade student?”

“What’s wrong with that? When you left me there at the road all alone on my first day! He was the one who helped me to find the way. He is a very good friend.” I tried so hard to defend him from all the blame he is getting from the head master

 “Really? This is the first and the last warning. Stay away from that student! I want tell you again” Headmaster came close to me and whispered n my ear and he went back and sat. My heart skipped a bit and I was shocked

“Why do you say so?”

“Because I want no more trouble. He’s no good person to hang out with”

“Why do you say so...? I NEED A SPECIFIC REASON” I demanded for a proper answer

“And why are you yelling at me Adriana?”

“I’m not yelling sir... I just want to know. Without a specific reason I can’t obey you because I don’t see anything wrong in him”

“You are obsessed with his cover. When the cover is that good people rarely see what’s inside. Am I right? I don’t no child but when you come to the point of realizing the truth inside of him you will regret for not obeying me.”
