Chapter 8

~•Laurance's POV•~
"Awww" All the girls said.  I chuckled and Aphmau rolled her eyes and smiled.  I love her so much, but I don't think that she wants to date.  We only just met a few days ago, yet it feels like I've known her a lifetime.  Everyone sat down and ate breakfast.  It was delicious. 

Mostly everyone left.  It was just Aph, me, Garroth and Cadenza.  We helped Aph clean up the mess from the party.  Garroth and I went upstairs into the guest room to clean there.
"Laurance?" Garroth asked.
"Yes?" I answered picking up a plastic cup. 
"What did you and Aph talk about when you pulled her aside during truth or dare. Right before she kissed me." When he said 'kissed me' I cringed. 
"You mean right after she was dared to kiss you?" I said, correcting him. 
"Y-yea" He said saddened.
"N-nothing important" I replied looking at the ground.  I blushed thinking about how I kissed Aphmau.  The best moment of my life. I thought.
"If it wasn't important why did you pull her aside!?" He said angrily.  Was he jealous?
"Garroth, are you jealous?" I asked.
"N-no, why would you think that?" He said nervously.
"Garroth, do you love Aphmau?" I asked. Garroth's face turned bright red and he froze.  Aph walked into the room.
"Hey guys how the room comin- Garroth, are you ok?" Aph looked at Garroth who was pale.  He turned to her and spoke.
"Y-y-yea, i-im f-fine" He said shaking.  Aph walked over to Garroth and put her hand on his forehead feeling his temperature.  I felt jealously burn inside me. 
"Garroth you're heating up. Come on let's go get you some soup" Aph grabbed Garroth's hand and went to lead him downstairs. I grabbed Aph's hand and she turned around.
"Let me help Garroth, Aph, you've done so much work already.  You should rest." I said. Garroth glared at me.  He mouthed what are you doing?
"Are you sure, Laurance?" She said letting go of Garroth's hand. 
"Positive" I smiled. 
"Thank you, Laurance" She said and she kissed my cheek. I smiled. 
"Feel better Garroth" She said kissing Garroth's cheek.  She went into her room and shut the door. 
"What the heck man?" Garroth said.
"What do you mean?  She needed her rest from all the catering she did" I said with a smirk.
"Whatever." He growled.  We walked downstairs and sat down on the couch.
"Where's Aph?" Cadenza asked.
"She's resting" I said.  Cadenza nodded and continued cleaning the kitchen. 

~•Garroth's POV•~
Ugh, I can't believe Laurance did that.  I bet he loves Aphmau too.  When Aphmau kissed Laurance's cheek she smiled but when she kissed mine she had no expression.  This is why I told everyone to keep Laurance away from Aphmau, because I knew he would fall for her and I can't have competition.  My thoughts were interrupted by my phone beeping.  It was a text from Zane. 

(Z-Zane, V-Vylad, G-Garroth)

Z- Father wants all of us to have a family dinner with him.

V-I don't want to go.

G-Neither do I

Z-It doesn't matter whether you want to go or not, father wants us to have family dinner with him therefore we are having a family dinner with him.  I will see you two at 3.

G-Fine.

V-OK.

Why of all days do I have to go to a family dinner today.  This is so annoying.  Its 2 o'clock right now.  It takes 30 minutes to get there and I have to go home and change which will take 10 minutes.  So I should probably go now.  Darn it.  I got up off the couch.
"Sorry guys, I gotta go to a family dinner" I said. 
"But its only 2." Cadenza said popping out of the kitchen. 
"I know but my father eats dinner at 3 and I have to go home and change and it takes 30 minutes to get from my house to his" I answered. 
"Ok, we'll tell Aph you said bye." Laurance smirked.  I frowned and walked out the door.  I got in my car and drove home. 

~•Laurance's POV•~
Garroth left and I turned on Netflix.  I started to scroll through all the movie's and couldn't find anything to watch.  I ended up giving up and going into the kitchen to check on Cadenza.  She was washing dishes. 
"Hey. Need help?" I asked.
"Yea, actually. Can you dry the dishes?" She handed me a towel and I nodded.  I started drying the dishes and putting them in the cabinet.  Once all of the dishes were cleaned and put away Cadenza sat down on the couch. 
"That was tiring" She said.  I nodded.
"Well, what did you expect?" I said.  She shrugged.
"I don't know, but I do know that I have to go home for dinner.  Are you staying here?" She asked. 
"Yea, I think I'm gonna make Aph dinner" I responded and she smiled.
"Aww! That's so cute!" She squealed. I rolled my eyes and chuckled. 
"Well, I have to go.  I'll see you tomorrow" She said.
"How do you know I'm gonna spend the night?" I asked. 
"I just have a feeling you will" she said and headed out the door.  I smiled and decided to start making dinner.  I went into her kitchen and looked in her fridge. I hope she doesn't mind me making dinner.  I mean, I have made breakfast before and she didn't mind at all.  I thought.  I saw some pre-made meatballs and I grabbed them.  I'll make spaghetti and meatballs. I thought. I looked in the cabinet and found a box of spaghetti.  I grabbed a pot and put water in it.  I put it on the stove and waited for it to boil.  Once it started boiling I put the spaghetti in it.  While the spaghetti was cooking I put the meatballs in the oven.  When the spaghetti and meatballs where done I got some spaghetti sauce from the fridge.  I put the spaghetti, meatballs and sauce into two bowls.  I set the table and went upstairs to get Aphmau.  I knocked on her door and there was no answer.  I knocked again, and still no answer.  I slowly opened the door just in case she was sleeping.  I fully opened the door and walked in.  Aph was sleeping with the sheets wrapped around her in a little cacoon.  I smiled and walked over to her. I kneeled down next to her bed. 
"Aph" I whispered brushing her hair out of her face with my hand.  She smiled with her eyes still closed.
"Hey Laurance" She whispered.  She opened her eyes and smiled.  She so adorable! I smiled.
"I made dinner" I said.  She sat up.
"What did you make?" She asked. 
"Spaghetti and meatballs" I answered.  I stood up and put my hand out for her to grab.  She grabbed my hand and stood up.
"Thank you Laurance" She said. I smiled.
"No problem" I said.  We walked downstairs and sat down at the table.  I forgot drinks.  I thought.
"What do you want to drink, Aph?" I asked. 
"Water is good" she said.
"Ok" I smiled.  I went into the kitchen and got her a glass of water. I got one for myself as well.  I handed her the glass.
"Thank you Laurance" she said. 
"Your welcome" I replied.  I sat down and we ate the spaghetti and talked.
