Chapter 3: Stranger

Ashley:

I was animatedly talking to Lance while we walked down stairs when all of a sudden people jumped out of nowhere and yelled "Surprise."

I would have tripped over the last step had Lance not had a grip on me.

My smile widened as my mom and dad ran up to me enveloping me in a bear hug.

"I swear you guys are the best!" I hugged them tightly.

My parents were awesome!

I mock punched my brother as he butted in our family hug.

"Aren't you forgetting someone ?" He teased.

Moms eyes started filling up as she started babbling about us growing up so fast. Dad had to calm her down, hiding a smirk the entire time.

Soon I was going through the crowds and hugging my friends.

The party was outside in the back yard.

When I went out there I gasped.

It was beautiful.

I wasn't allowed to help in the decorations, which had bummed me at first.

But damn Raven and my mom where geniuses!

The pool which was exactly in the middle of the yard was split with black and pink balloons, Ash and Is favorite color.

There was a huge chocolate fountain towards the side, all sorts of sweets and strawberries on the side.

Next to it stood a three story cake, with whipped icing.

A huge table was placed in the middle with all sorts of foods.

A dance floor was set up flashing lights bouncing off it, a blanket of lights above us twinkling like a million stars.

The DJ, a guy I had once dated Darrel Sampson, waved at me.

I waved back.

The present table was piling up.

Everyone was crowded having a good time chatting and dancing, some even jumping into the pool.

"Lets dance!" Raven snatched me away from Lance then took me to the dance floor.

I danced and sang along as I danced with Raven, with a few guys who asked me or just by myself.

Suddenly an electric charge went through the clearing.

Everyone stopped.

That meant an Alpha or Beta bloodline found there Mate.

I frowned as I saw people gaping.

I followed their gaze and froze.

Ash was staring down at a blonde in shock, an expression I'd never seen on him.

Then someone cleared their throat loudly.

"My son has found his Mate. Your future Luna. " My father said with a wide grin.

Claps errupted throughout the crowd.

No-freaking-way!

My eyes found Ravens and her eyes filled with tears.

Then she bolted.

I cursed as I went to chase after her, which was very hard in heels let me tell you.

She made it to the edge of the forest before shifting into her beige wolf.

I was about to shift when an arm stopped me.
