I stood at the doorframe admiring my work. I had finished dusting, sweeping, and I had even gone back downstairs and picked up the little things I bought with mum and put them in my room. I smiled once more at my dream room. "Hey mum?" I called.

"In the kitchen y/n!"
As I made my way downstairs I noticed a certain smell.

Is that..pizza?

"Hey mum whatcha cooking?" I said hopping on the breakfast bar.

"Well at the super market they had these incredible things called frozen pizzas for mums who are too tired to cook." She said sliding me a plate with two slices of pizza on it.

I giggled, "When did you go to the super market?"
"About and hour ago your not the fastest at cleaning y/n" she smirked.

I smiled.

"Mum?"

"Yes?"

"What do we do now ?" I asked shyly referring to our future.

Mum's face dropped. "That's just what I wanted to talk to you about. The money I inherited from my aunt isn't enough to keep us on our feet for a long time. It's our emergency money. This house and everything in it is what I inherited. That means, I need to find a job."

"I was hoping you didn't have to." I said sadly. I knew mum had to find a job but i didn't want her to do one she was disliked, like she did back home.

"Don't worry my love, this time I won't have to work three jobs."

"Promise me you won't do a job unless you actually feel ok with it. One that you actually like."

"I promise honey." After a few minutes of silence she spoke again. "You know you have to go to school y/n."

"I know" I said softly, I didn't want to go but I knew I had to.

"I already enrolled you, your going to start Monday." She said sympathetically.

"Monday?! But mum today's Saturday and we just got here!"

"I know y/n but you've already missed so much. Lucky for you the beginning of second semester also starts Monday so you won't be lost, everyone's going to start new units and projects."

I sighed. "But mum I don't even have school supplies."

"I looked on their website and emailed the headmaster. He says students will be given mostly online homework and don't need binders or things like that. A folder, notebook, and some writing utensils will be all you need."

"If it makes you happy mum." I muttered. I I admit I'm little exited about starting school here but I'm even more terrified of the idea.

"Hey cheer up honey, I don't like seeing you upset. You have the whole day tomorrow to explore remember! I know you'll make a friend or two and I know you'd do fine in class. I've seen how hard you work honey. Now go to the living room and pick out a movie. I'll throw away our trash."

"Thanks mum,"I said giving her a kiss on the cheek before going to pick out a movie."

Hmm so much to chose from. What about..'The hundred-foot journey'? Sounds interesting.

AN: Hi! Have any of you seen 'The hundred-foot journey'? It's a really nice movie I liked it a lot .
Anyway I wanted to tell you guys to tell me when the story starts getting boring because sometimes...

I kind of freak out and worry if the first two chapters were the only good ones.
