Yes, it's the music box from Mafia. Yes, it's the Alexandrite stone.

This was meant to happen because remember, Blue is reincarnated as Alexander Smith.

(For those confused, it's from my previous story, Mafia)

One way or another, he finds the stone again.

03 / Take Me Home

Harper / POV

The only good thing about my father's beating is that it made me excellent at make-up.

I've now been accustomed to cover up all the bruises and even end up praising myself for being so good at it. Bittersweet, I know.

I was at Candy Caffeine, clearing out a table when a cold breeze enters the room.

"Oh. Good morning, miss Jones." I greeted her.

Miss Jones is Melanie's aunt. She comes here every now and then to check on Melanie.

She smiles at me as she walks in.

"Let me call Melanie for you." I tell her and she nods.

Taking with me the tray with empty cups, I called Melanie's attention when I went into the kitchen.

"Hey Mel, your aunt's here again." I tell her.

She groans. "Not again." She holds her palms to her face.

"Hey, don't complain. At least you got someone looking after you." I said, quietly jealous of how her aunt cares about her.

"I'd trade her to you any day." She sighs, patting my shoulder and walking out to meet with her aunt.

I shook my head, "Trust me, you don't want to trade." I whispered to myself.

Once I was finished in the kitchen, I washed and wiped my hands.

Bryan was taking someone's order when I walked to the register.

"I can't believe we're busy on a Tuesday." He complains.

Bryan had brown hair, he had freckles on his face if you look closely. He's maybe a few inches taller than me. From what he's told me, he's the youngest of three, he has two older sisters. Explains why Bryan is sometimes..feminine.

"Hey Harper? Do you mind doing me a favor?" He says, handing me a cup tray of two.

"Those are two Cinnamon Dolce Lattes—" he says as he writes something down on a piece of paper, "—and please take them to this address. It's already been paid for."

I took the paper from his grasp and eyed him confusingly. "I didn't know we did deliveries??"

He beams. "He's a special and frequent customer. He never comes here but he's ordered most of the items on our menu." He says.

"Did you tell him we don't do deliveries?"

He waves me off. "I did. But he just smiled saying he's gonna pay twice the price." He says excitedly and I gawked.

"What have you been doing to the extra money?!" I yell whispered.

He wiggles his eyebrows and pats his pockets.

I gasped. "You sneaky bastard. I demand for a split!"

"Fine. Just because your make up always look good on you." He says rolling his eyes and I smile in glee.
