Chapter 1 - A New Beginning

"AAAAH!"

Then you hear a thunk!

Am I dead? You wondered. You sat up clutching your head, and groaned. How did I get down here? You looked around the dimly-lit room. It looked like a room to a cavern of some-sort...

You walk into the next room, only to see a patch of a light shinning down on one area. That's strange... stranger than what I just saw, considering it was a blank room... Your thoughts trailed off as you walked towards it only to be startled by a golden flower. You jump backwards and scream out in surprise.

"Don't mind me, I'm Flowey... Flowey the Flower!" He stuck his tongue out in a oddly cute way... it was somewhat familiar...

"You're not from around here are ya?" He quickly had his face change slightly, but you only caught it slightly.

"Guess you're going to need someone to show you the ropes of around here, huh?" A new interface drowned out your surroundings and made it so you could see only Flowey and a strange heart which was colored (F/C).

"That heart right there is your soul." He paused for a moment, and continued. "You use this whenever you enter an interface that looks familiar to the one right now. As you probably experimented with already, if you move so does your soul." He gave you a wink.

"Now down here we get love by collecting 'friendliness pellets'." He had a few white sparkles surrounding him. "Collect as many as you can!" As the sparkles headed towards you, you decided to step out of the way, but one caught your hand. He stopped his innocent grin and replaced it with a sinister looking one instead.

"You idiot!" His eyes narrowed onto you, looking like he was going to pounce any second now. "You see, down here it's... KILL OR BE KILLED!" He surrounded you with the bullets, until a fireball hit him shooting him somewhere else.

"My child are you okay?" The sweet goat-like figure asked. You nodded.

"Yeah. I-I am fine." She smiled at you. You clutched your hand, where you got attacked, and she got some rolled gauze, and replaced your hand with the gauze.

"You already remind me of another human who's already been down here not too long ago..." She looked up, closed her eyes, and let out a sigh - still clutching on to your hand.

"Did I bring back some bad memories?" You ask a tad worried.

"She looked at you in surprise. "No no no! Not at all my dear child!" She paused for a moment and thought about something. "Here my child, follow me." She held your wounded hand - she had a grip of iron - and she led the way to her part of the ruins were.

~~~~~TIME SKIP (BECAUSE I'M LAZY 😜)~~~~~

"My child you look tired. Why don't you go into this room," she led you into a room. It seemed like if you were here before... but you couldn't quite remember. "and I will bake you a treat for when you wake up. Your prefer (cinnamon and/or butterscotch), correct?" You nodded before yawning and drifting off to sleep.

"Sleep well, my child..."

~~~~~ANOTHER TIME SKIP (ONCE AGAIN I'M TOO LAZY)~~~~~

You woke up, and slowly lifted your head off the pillow. You stretched and yawned, then slowly rose from the bed.
On the floor, you spotted an item on the ground, a food item.

"This is what she, Toriel, was probably talking about." You walked over, picked it up, and took a bite. It was the best thing you ever tasted! "Mmm..." The (cinnamon and/or butterscotch) pie was amazing. You finished the pie, went to the kitchen, passing Toriel as she was reading about snails (IDK why lol).

"Oh, my child, you can just put that in the sink. I will take care of it." You then simply nodded and put it in the sink. You walked back, but you didn't feel alright. You felt like something was missing from your life. Like your missing the last puzzle piece to finish the puzzle.

You wanted out of this place.

"Toriel..." She looked up from her book and nodded. "Not to be offensive or anything but..." You took a deep breath, "I really want to go home."

She gasped, and then said; "What are you talking about? This is your home!" She shook nervously. She got up a few moments later. "My child, I just go take care of something, I will be right back."

She walked into the next room, hoping you wouldn't have to go down in the hall at some point, but you did anyway. You followed her down the first part of the purple hall. She stopped and you stopped inches away from her.

"My child, I hope you know why I am doing this..." She looked like she was going to tear up. "I've seen it all happen  before." She said as she walked into the next part of the hallway.

"I've seen this happen. You want to leave, you leave and then..." She started to tear up, "... then they die..." Tears started to flow down her face, and it ruffled her fur. "I'm doing this for your own good." She walked to the last part of the hallway. She was now breathing shakily. "Be a good child, and go back to the ruins..."

You entered the hallway, and she turned to look at you. This is the first time she looked at you when you entered the hallway. "I'm closing the ruins exit. I can't stand to lose another human... please... don't go..." You then entered another interface with Toriel, and you (F/C) heart.

"If you want to leave, you must prove yourself worthy..." She brought out fireballs and threw them at you. You dodged them...

Without moving. She wasn't even trying to hit you. You talked to her.

"Please, let me leave... I will always come to visit you, I'll find a place to stay at... please, just believe in me..." Your voice trailed off towards the end of your sentence as you began to cry.

You exit out of the interface, and Toriel came over and hugged you. "Alright my child, I have faith in you." You nodded still crying and she wiped away your tears.

You then proceeded to exit the ruins through the doors Toriel sat in front of.

You closed the large doors behind you. The cold nipped at your bare skin. You shivered and covered up you wound from earlier. You walked into the ankle-deep snow. You walked up to a wooden bridge. You stopped because you felt a 'presence' behind you.

"don't you know how to greet a new friend?"
