Chapter 12

~•Laurance's POV•~
After Aph and I finished the chocolate lava cake.  The waiter came in and gave us our check.  He walked out and Aph quickly grabbed the check and looked at it.  She went into her purse to grab something and pulled out her wallet.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Paying." She said simply.  I looked at her confused and took back the check.
"No you're not." I said and chuckled.
"Why not?" She said.  
"I invited you therefore I'll pay, and its only right for the man to pay on a date." I replied and smiled.  She just smiled and put her wallet away.
"Thank you, Laurance" she said.  I smiled and looked at her.
"Anything for you Aph"

After I paid for everything and we left the restaurant we got into my car. 
"Thank you so much Laurance, that was amazing" Aph said. I smirked.
"Was? That was just the beginning." I stated.  She looked at me confused.
"Really? What are we doing next?" She asked. I looked at her for a brief moment than back at the road.
"You'll see." I said with my eyes still glued on the road.

~•Aphmau's POV•~
I wonder where Laurance is taking me. I thought. We pulled into the parking lot of a beach.  There was a board walk close by with a bunch of carnival games, booths, and rides.  I started to get very giddy, bouncing up in down in my seat.  Laurance laughed.
"I'm assuming you like this place" He said. I nodded.
"I don't like this place, I love this place" I said happily. 
"Good."
Laurance and I got out of the car and walk hand in hand to the boardwalk.  I looked down at our hands and smiled. 
"So, what do you wanna do first?" He asked.  I looked around at the games and rides.
"How about some games?" I suggested.  He nodded.
"Sure, which one?" He said.  I looked around again.
"How about this on!" I said running over to a game.  It was called 'Water Gun Fun'.  Laurance and I sat down on the stools and I gave the guy running the booth 10 dollars for me and Laurance to each play 2 games.  Laurance won the first and second round.  The guy gave laurance a huge stuffed bear and winked at him as he handed it to him.  Why did he just wink at him? Ok then.  Laurance handed me the stuffed bear. 
"Here, I got this for you." He said. I took the bear from him and hugged it tightly giggling, like a child. 

~•Laurance's POV•~
"Thank you Laurance, I love him!" She said giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"I love you..." I whispered.  She looked at me confused.
"What was that, Laurance?" She asked.  I smiled.
"I'll tell you later." I said.  She nodded and I grabbed her hand. 
"Do you wanna put him in the car?" I asked.  She nodded. 
"Ok" I said.  We walked to the car and put the stuffed bear into it.  Then we walked back to the board walk and to the rides.  We went to the ticket booth.  I bought enough tickets for me and Aph to go on each ride once.  The first ride we went on was the roller coaster.  That was really fun! Aph screamed a couple times and we both had our hands up the whole time.  Next we went on the haunted house ride.  We got on and Aph immediately wrapped her arms around my waist. 
"I don't like when things pop out." She said hugging my waist.  I chuckled.
"Neither do I, but we can get over it together." I said hugging her back. 
"Ok" She said and I felt her smile.  A few things popped out causing her to jump.  When we came out of the ride there was a familiar face waiting. One face I didn't want to see.  He didn't see us luckily so me and Aph just quickly got off the ride.  I grabbed Aph's hand and pulled her into a crack between two buildings. 
"What was that about?" She asked. 
"I saw Garroth..." I said.  Her eyes widened and started to fill with tears.  I quickly pulled her into a hug and she cried into my chest.
"What is he doing here?" She cried. 
"I don't know, but I promise I won't let him hurt you." I assured.  She smiled.
"Thank you, Laurance." She said.
"I'd do anything for you, Aphmau"  I replied.
"Laurance? Aphmau?" A voice said from behind us.  I turned around and his Aphmau behind my back.
"Garroth..." I growled.
"Is something wrong Laurance?" He asked confused.  I became enraged.
"OF COURSE SOMETHING IS WRONG YOU TRIED TO RAPE APHMAU!" I screamed loudly soon regretting it.  He should go to jail for what he did but, he's my best friend and not fit for prison.  Aph would have called 911 if she really wanted him in prison. 
"I-i d-d-did w-what?" He asked mortified at what I had just said.  I lowered my voice and spoke.
"You attempted to rape Aphmau" I said calmer that before but still with fury burning inside me.  He put his hands in his hair and dropped to the ground, kneeling on it.
"That's not possible... I couldn't have...." He spoke quietly to himself, but loud enough where I could hear. 
"Well you did" I said coldly.  He looked up at me and Aph, tears in his eyes and running down his face. 
"Aphmau... I am so sorry..." He said softly.  I looked at Aphmau who was looking at Garroth, her arms were still around my waist.  She had sympathy in her eyes.  She looked up at me and I nodded giving her the ok.  She smiled and mouthed thank you.  She ran over to Garroth and wrapped her arms around him.  He wrapped his arms around her and continued to sob. 
"Aphmau, I am so, so sorry." He said through sobs.  She parted the hug with him.
"I can't forgive the Garroth that did that to me, but I can forgive you.  I knew that wasn't you, he didn't act like you and his eyes were... red." Aph said to Garroth, sympathy in her voice.
"Thank you, Aphmau.  I can't thank you enough.  And you're right, that wasn't me.  I was being controlled by someone." Garroth said.  I looked at him with a puzzles expression. 
"By who?" I asked. 
"Zane..." He growled.  He got up and wiped his face with his sleave.
"I'll see you guys later, I have some matters to attend to" He said.  He walked away and soon sprinted to his car.  Aph and I waved goodbye as he drove away.  I wonder what he was talking about when he said he has 'matters to attend to'. I pondered the thought until Aphmau broke my daze.
"So where to next?" She asked.  I took out my phone and looked at the time.  8:46.  Its almost time.  I thought. 
"Come with me." I said grabbing her hand.
