My hand reached out for the railing and I grabbed it swiftly, holding on to it tightly as not to fall over. I blinked, once, twice.. three times. We were still here. He still asked that.

Was he serious?

"I love you"

He stared at me in shock, his lips parting slightly. He wasn't the only one surprised, my eyes widened.

You just said....

You just said you love him.

"As much as I love hearing you say that" A soft smile appeared on his lips, "That's not the only thing I want to hear right now. You know, I kind of asked would you be my girlfriend?" He pointed out hopefully.

He actually looked nervous.

He looked nervous.

I opened my mouth to speak before the door opened in the room. Anger built up inside of me and I pulled off my shoe, throwing it toward the door.

The person let out a small shriek and closed the door just in time so the shoe whacked the door. I waited a moment to make sure they weren't coming back.

I looked back to Xander who gave me a strange look, "I don't want to be interrupted anymore" I frowned before a little smile appeared on my lips, "I just want to be your girlfriend"

Dizzy..

He stared at me in surprise. His eyes examined my face, "You're serious? You're saying yes?" It was like he was an expecting a no. I pursed my lips, "Fine, if you don't want me t-"

I let out a cry when he picked me up and I quickly wrapped my legs around him so I wouldn't fall.

"I love you so much" He whispered before planting a kiss on my lips. I smiled against them before kissing him back, wrapping my arms around his neck.

I literally almost screamed when a firework went off. My breaths were heavy and I cussed while he laughed at me. I let go of him so I dropped to the ground, my eyes looking up to the fireworks that continued being set off.

My eyes went down to the garden and saw a lot of the family standing there, watching the fireworks. Isaac and some other young boy were chasing each other while other's clinked there drinks. There was also a young girl with them and I saw Isaac holding her hand.

Xander's hand slid around my waist and pulled me into him, "Did you know fireworks were going to go off?"

He shook his head, "No but I'm not complaining. It's a romantic scenario to ask you out." I tried my best to ignore the flips that were going on in my stomach. I was... going out with Xander Hawke.

I couldn't help but to remember the first day we met again after a while. I threatened to stab him with a butter knife. The corner of my lips twitched but I was brought from my thoughts when I felt his warm hand grasp mine.

I turned to look up at him but he was gazing up at the fireworks, a small smile on his face. I turned the direction he was looking, "They're beautiful..." I mumbled, entranced by all the colors.

"You're beautiful" He replied and I couldn't help but smile, "And I'm pretty much the luckiest guy to have you as my girlfriend"

He tugged his eyes away from the fireworks and returned them to me. He brought his hands up and cupped my face, planting a soft kiss on my lips, "How long have you loved me?"

"I don't know" I murmured, "All I know is, it's scary as hell"

He grinned and pulled back, "You know I heard you that night"
