Chapter One Hundred & Five

Klaus was going to be very mad at us when he woke up. That, and his neck was going to hurt like hell for a while too.

In other to get Freya out of the tomb safely, we needed to snap Nik's neck. He wasn't going to happy about that, but he would a little less annoyed when he found out it was to save his sister. I had every confidence in Freya, I knew that she could do this. THe only catch was that she needed an anchor, and I volunteered to do it, but she said that having someone related to her would make a stronger connection. I said that I would go into Eva's mind with Marcel and Vincent, and they both looked relieved. Maybe they thought they needed backup.

"Lay her inside the salt, and the two of you lie on either side of her. Each of you take her hand." Freya said, looking back at Marcel and Vincent. "Rose, you go on your knees above her head and put your hands on her temples," then she turned to Elijah. "I will act as a bridge into her mind, but I'm trusting you to anchor me, brother."

Elijah nodded. "Do what you need to do."

Marcel laid Eva down onto the floor in the middle of the triangle, then he and Vincent looked up at Freya for any further details as to how they must do it.

"Rebekah is buried deep," Freya stated. "Eva will not give her up without a fight."

Marcel was determined to save her. "Then she gets a fight."

"Be careful," Freya warned. "You're entering Eva's mind. IF she kills you in there, you will be lost," Marcel looked worried at that. "And, if you kill her before you free Rebekah, then Rebekah will be gone forever. Once you have Rebekah, then, and only then, can Eva be dealt with."

Vincent took a deep breath. "We got it."

Marcel and Vincent laid down on either side of Eva, making sure they were inside the triangle completely. Freya knelt down beside Vincent while I took my spot at Eva's head, and reached into Eva's boot. She pulled a knife out of it, and held it out to Vincent.

You'll need a weapon," she said.

"How am I supposed to take that with me?" he asked.

Freya held the knife tightly, then chanted a few times before opening her eyes and looking at Vincent. She grimaced, then said, "This... is going to hurt."

She leaned forwards quickly, and I knew what she was going to do. I winced when Vincent screamed as Freya stabbed the knife into his arm, then he fell unconscious, same as Marcel. ANd a moment later, so did I.

My eyes shot open, and I took a deep breath. Eva was no longer with us, it was just the three of us sitting in a triangle shape.

Vincent screamed in pain, yanking the knife out of his arm. When he did, Marcel and I heard a little girl screaming. Both of us looked at each other, turning our heads towards the sound. It seemed that we were so eager to find Rebekah, that we practically forgot Vincent was there.

"Rebekah," Marcel said in a worried tone, and both of us sped after her, leaving Vincent behind her.

The warehouse was different now. The lights flickered violently, pieces of plastic lingering around and blowing in an imaginary wind. It was all a greenish hue, the kind that you get when you've been outside in the winter for a long time then come into a dark space. It was a little difficult to see at times, but it was manageable.
