"We're not watching Frozen again Riley, it's my turn to pick the movie." Josh told Riley as they sat by the coffee table looking through their movie collection.

"No! It's my turn. Frozen!" Riley yelled holding her arms up with the movie in her hands.

"Riley, it's Josh's turn to choose a movie, you chose Frozen last weekend so now it's your brother turn." I told her.

"Mom, can we watch The Amazing Spider-Man?" Josh asked.

"Whatever you want baby." I said.

"I don't want to." Riley said starting to cry as Jamahl walked through the front door.

"Aww, what's wrong with my baby?" Jamahl said picking Riley up.

She simply pointed at Josh.

"You're an hour late, where were you?" I asked.

"Some stuff came up at work." He stated.

"Well why didn't you say that instead of ignoring my 6 calls and text messages. I thought something was wrong." I said.

"Sorry about that." Jamahl said handing Riley to me as he began texting away on his phone then headed upstairs.

"Mom the movie is about to start. Dad has to hurry up." Josh said grabbing the bowl of popcorn and sitting on the right side of me on the couch.

"He'll be down soon." I said.

"Mommy, I don't wanna watch this." Riley said staring up at me.

"Your turn will be next weekend, I promise." I told her.

She climbed out of my lap and moved beside Josh then started to eat popcorn as the movie began. I stretched out a little to my left.

A little later Jamahl came and sat on the couch then pulled me into his lap.

I looked up at him. "I missed you."

"Missed you too." He said checking his phone.

"You hungry? I cooked not too long ago." I said.

"Nah, I got something to eat before I got here."

I sighed. "Well okay then."

"You straight?" He asked.

"Yes, I guess so. Can you get off your phone so we can enjoy our family time?"

"Aight Indie, chill. I'm watching it."

"Who are you talking to that's so important?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Nobody, let's watch the movie." He said sliding his phone in his pocket.

I couldn't even focus on the movie because someone was really blowing up his phone and it was starting to irritate me. The kids were sleeping and I was over this so I just got up and grabbed Riley to go put her in the bed. He followed behind me with Josh.

After I laid them down I headed to the room to get comfortable and so did Jamahl.

"What are we gonna do tomorrow?" I asked standing in front of the dresser while pulling my hair up.

"It don't matter, I gotta run by my job early in the morning to check on something." He said sitting his phone down.

"Check on what babe? What's going on with work?" I asked.
