I hum as I write my essay. Sirius and Remus scribbled at their own work next to me. I could barely focus on my work, but I was in the mood to get up and have some fun. Unfortunately, I had to get this essay done before tomorrow.

"You build me up, buttercup. Just to let me down~" I sing quietly.

Sirius slammed the table and grabbed my sleeve. He pulled me closer so I would make eye contact with him. Maybe 12 inches stood between us.

I look in the corner of my eye and see Remus' uncomfortable and pale face. I plead with my eyes. I turn back to Sirius.

"Quit singing, I absolutely can not pay attention to my work," he threatened.

"My Lord..." I breathe out.

He released me and went back to his work. I turned, Remus and I shared a look. I fake shivered, and he rolled his eyes. His expression showed, "What's wrong with him?' and I just shrugged as my answer.

I huffed, unable to pay attention anymore whatsoever. "That's it. I'm going to sleep in preparation for Professor Mcgonagall's scolding on why I didn't do the essay tomorrow," I announced.

"Or you could just do it..." Moony replied.

"My mood makes me incapable, and that means it'll never get finished. I feel guilty, and it is what it is," I responded, turning my nose up to the air.

"Get some sleep. You barely had any last night," Padfoot encouraged.

"Thank you! It's like you two are the angel and devil on my shoulders," I said, slightly astounded that I made that observation.

I take my supplies up to the dormitories. I breathe out an elongated, exhausted sigh. Setting my things on the side of my bed, I decided to take a nap until Lily came back. When she wakes me up, maybe I'll see if I'm in the mood to do my essay again.

I knocked out, closing my eyes and letting the darkness consume me.

Well.. whiteness.

The blank train station was back.

The train billowed past me. There were no passengers. No one else was in the expanse. The train didn't stop. It just kept going and going.

For a second, one being flashed by in a seat, the train contained.

I squinted my eyes, but the figure was already out of sight. However, it seems like it was approaching the same speed as the train as it doubled in the other direction. Almost like they were running at a great speed to match the train. Like they were coming for me...

Lily's hand shook me awake.

I gasped out, my breath knocked out of me. She sat on my bed, holding my hand as I struggled to maintain my breath.

"What happened? Did you have a nightmare again?" she asked, worried.

"Uhm.. I don't really know," I replied.

I really don't know. The dream with the train station always comes back. I'm tired of it being so recurring.

I lowered my eyes, sitting quietly with her. I scratched at my covers lightly. Is something going to happen now? Am I unlocking something? Or am I on the cusp of it? Is this the first step?

I looked back up at her. She furrowed her brows, her eyes scanning my face.

"Have your eyes always been brownish red?" she questioned.

"What?"

I narrowed my eyes at her, looking for any sign to see if she was messing around with me. She seems like she's completely serious right now.

"They look really red under the candle light... it's kind of scary," she continued.

Leaning over, I pick up the handheld mirror on my nightstand. I held it to my face and lo and behold; they're rich brown with striking red seeping around the iris.

"Lily.. Am I just crazy but haven't I always had blue green eyes?" I asked, panic rising.

"From what I remember, yes," she responded, equally concerned.

"What the hell is this? Oh my god!" I exclaim.

As I peered in the mirror, bits of my hair began turning violet.

I screeched, watching as the blonde absorbed some sort of purple right in front of my eyes.

"Lily! Did you see that?!" I cried.

"Yeah! What just happened?!" she yelled.

"I don't know!!" I shout.

"What if someone set a hex on you? Or did you drink some sort of potion today? Maybe we're hallucinating?!" Lily stammered out, trying to make up some logical explanation to it.

"Lily, we live in a world of magic; there are literally thousands of possibilities why this is happening, but we don't kNOW," I shrieked.

"What if it's just the light? Maybe we should go to the lavatories!" she offered.

"No way in hell. Look at how my head is covered with purple! I look like a blueberry!" I whined.

"It's cute, it's cute.. Just get out there so we can rush over there!" she reassured.

"I've always had blonde hair, and suddenly I come down with purple hair?! How's anyone going to understand that?" I complained.

"I don't know! Maybe you have metamorphmagus?" she proposed.

"But it's only these colors... What if I'm stuck like this forever?" I cried.

"Ah! Ah! Ah! It's turning blue! Merlin's pants!!" she screamed.

"Oh my God! I'm going to go bonkers!" I exclaim.

The purple morphed into a baby blue, and I pulled at my hair strands. I looked down at the ends, and sure enough, the baby blue made its way down. Flickering my gaze back at the mirror, I watched as the auburn eyes pooled into a stunning grey. Oddly familiar.

"What if you're dying??!" Lily suddenly yelled.

I jumped at how loud her voice was, and my panic came back. "I sure hope not! Why would you say that? I'm worried now!"

"But what if you are?!" she suggested again.

"I swear to Merlin's drawers if you say that again I will smack you," I threaten.

"You gon die," she cried, finally believing what she said.

"I'm not going to die! I'm sure there's a reason why this is happening!" I assure.

What if I'm dying?
