Okay guys, I don't know who of you will agree with the next headcanon I'll going to write down, but I have a reason for it, which I will explain afterwards.
So Will has been growing a beard since Alyss' death. Because he wasn't quite taking care of himself etc. But halfway Maddi's apprenticeship, he stops. He is not growing a beard anymore. He may not be always shaved like Gilan is, but he is no longer growing a beard like Halt's.
I need to know; do you agree?!?!?
It's just... It was the only thing I couldn't live with in The Royal Ranger, which I'm rereading now. Every time something's being said about Will and his beard I have to skip that part because I cannot stand it. Growing a beard is so Halt-ish, but Will is not Halt, he is Will. So he stops. Because he knew he would not be doing this if Alyss was still alive.
That's it. Will is no longer growing a beard.
