P.S Pic to the side is of Joey ;)

Joey was laughing again…at me…at this insane situation that made no sense, and was absolutely ridiculous. He was laughing at me, laughing so hard that he was crying and struggling to breathe…laughing at me.

It pissed me off, this wasn’t funny couldn’t he see that? I mean sure it was crazy, insane, impossible, ridiculous but funny? I had to make a fucking faggot fall in love with me and that was anything but funny…especially for me, what would my parents think? What would God say?

Oh right, God was the one that did this to me. Yeah, got to love that guy…

“Hey Joey, just so you know…you can stop laughing anytime now, thanks” I bit out frustrated, of course to him this would seem like a joke…he’d probably enjoy it too, seeing me in pain.

“It’s just” gasp “So…” gasp “Funny” he managed to say while continuing to laugh.

Fuck this, I wasn’t going to sit here and have him laugh at me, so I got up and began climbing down the ladder. Joey was calling down to me as I walked away, obviously he didn’t give a shit about any of this, he wasn’t going to help me…

“Colin! Wait up!” He called to me having climbed down the ladder himself.

“What do you want? Huh? Are you done laughing at me?” I asked bitterly.

“Look, I’m sorry okay? It’s not every day that you’re best friend turns invisible to straight people, so forgive me for laughing” he apologized…sort of, I don’t really know if it counts or not.

“Yeah whatever…it’s just right now, you’re kind of the only one who knows I still exist, and I need your help with this…and here you are treating this like its all some big joke” I stated.

“I know, but you have to admit it is a little bit joke like, it’s almost like we’re in some movie or something…it’s insane, but I’m your best friend, so if you need my help, I’ll help”

God damn it, why did he have to be such a good friend…and gay? Wasn’t that like an oxymoron or something?

“So...” he shifted nervously on his feet “Do you wanna…you know…?”

…I hated when people said you know…it made my mind go to places I’d rather it not go…especially when a guy was the one saying it…and not just any guy my new best gay friend…

“Uh…Joey…do you wanna maybe finish that sentence….” I suggested awkwardly

“Huh?” he said confused before realization dawned on him “Oh! I didn’t mean it like that…I was you know…talking about...talking? Because you know, we need to talk…about this” he explained flustered.

I laughed, Joey was like that awkward kid in school, the one who stuttered and embarrassed himself routinely, but unlike most of those kids Joey was quite popular because with him the awkwardness wasn’t weird but charming and the stuttering not annoying but…cute.

I didn’t think it was cute of course; I was going by what the girls thought…because I do not think that way.

“Sure” I agreed still somewhat laughing as we walked quickly towards the side door. We decided not to bother with the tree house, no point his parents weren’t home, so instead we went inside his house and up to his room.
