The fault in our friendship

Chapter 16

I smile wide as I wake up next to my mom. Dad and my brothers had gone on a "man only trip" for the weekend so my mom and I were just being lazy all day. I yawn and snuggle into my mom's side. I feel her stirr and wrap her arms around me. "Good morning sweetie" she says, still barely awake. "Good morning mom" I say and hug her tight. Today some of my mom's friends would come over. Suddenly Bex bursts into the door and jumps onto us which makes us scream. "Goodmorning babe's. How are you?" She says and my mom just groans. "Really Rebecca? Why are you doing this?" It doesn't take long until Sean runs in and does the same, earning a punch on the shoulder from my mom. "Ouch" he says and I just lay back down again. "Guys What are you even doing here?" I ask and mom chuckles. "I told you my friends would come by. Also Jen, Ginny, Emilie and Colin are coming over" she says. "What abour Bobby and Josh and Jared?" I ask and Bex pokes my cheek. "Bobby has plans with his wife, Josh is looking after the kids and Jared is on a holiday with his boyfriend" she says and I nod. Suddenly Emilie, Ginny, Jen and Coling akwardly walk in. I giggle and get out of bed "I'm going to go downstairs to get food" I say and everyone follows me. That day, we play video games, watch movies, play truth and dare, and decided to all just have a sleepover together. It was now 1 AM and I sat behind Jen, braiding her hair, while my mom, Bex, Emilie and Ginny were applying make up on Colin and Sean, who didn't like it at all. Jen and I just laugh at their reactions and once I finished Jen's hair we help with applying make up on them. Soon, I grow very tired and fall asleep while cuddling with Bex
