Twenty ninth night:
❝Lee?❞ His voice broke.
"..."
❝Please...I know you're there.❞
"Stop trying to help me, Meeko..."
❝I won't stop!❞
"It's useless."
❝I know the real Lee is still there, I just know it!❞
"She's gone."
❝No, she's not...I refuse to believe that.❞
He choked in a sob and let tears slide down his cheeks.
She regretted saying what she did and soon let tears of her own cascade down her cheeks.
And they both cried.
