Thunderstorms Become Gentle Rain Drops

I whine as the lightening struck again. It was a stormy night tonight and I was scared. I didn't care. I was covered in bed sheets, sweating my ass off shielding myself from the storm as if it were out to get me. Ashley was on the other side of the bed sound asleep. I gave him a look. How can he sleep at a time like this? Another loud sound of lightening struck, I yelled under my sheets with spilling tears.

"Andy?"Ashley's sleepy voice said to me moving around to face me. "What's wrong?"

"The storm," I whimpered. "I'm scared.." Ashley nodded. He knew I was scared and knew what would make me forget about the storm.

"Come here," he pulls me to him taking all the sheets off me which were good so I can feel the cool air. I lay my head and cuddle closer to Ashley, feeling secure. Being in Ashes strong arms was one of the best things in the world. It was warm and kept me safe.

"Better?" he kisses my head and I smile.

"Much better, sorry I'm such a scardy cat."

"You don't have apologize, baby." Ashley looks down at me. "It's my job, I'm suppose to protect you. Always." again, I smile snuggling closer as another light flashed but didn't make a sound. 

"There it goes again, Ashes."

"Don't worry about it babe. Just close your eyes, I got you. It can't harm you." I sighed in relief as my eyes slowly closed and off I went to dreamland.

"I love You.." I mumbled. Ashley kisses my head again, rubbing my arm.

"I love you too."
