6. I Like It That Way

Gabriella's POV

Shit. He's back. He can't be. He was supposed to be in for 15 years, it's only been 8. Did they let him out early? No, they wouldn't have let him out this early, not after what he did. I was only 10 at the time, I didn't even know what was going on. I want to ask Liam if he's joking but I know he's not.

"What?" I ask, my voice shaking slightly.

"He's back Gabby, but you can't tell anyone. Not even mum." Liam tells me.

The thought of my dad being let out of prison makes my stomach turn, but I push my feelings aside and focus on Ashley. Today isn't about me. I ignore Liam as I get up and walk out of his bedroom and into the living room where my friends are. Ashley and Joe are sitting on one of the sofas, talking and laughing about something. There's no sign of Luke.

"Where's Luke?" I ask the loved up couple.

"In the kitchen" Joe replies.

I make my way to the kitchen to find my boyfriend. I see him making tea for everyone like he usually does.

"Luke, we need to talk." I stated, startling him a bit.

"What is it? Did I do something wrong?"

I laugh at his cuteness, "No it's not about us, it's about my dad."

"What about him?" He asks stupidly.

"They let him out, I think, I don't know but Liam said he's back." I tell him, with a hint of fear in my voice.

"Don't worry about this, he's nowhere near you and if he tried to get close just know I will always protect you." Luke states as he pulls me into a hug. Damn, I knew I loved Luke but I never thought I loved him this much. He's my rock.
"Don't worry, he's probably forgotten what you look like, you have changed since you were 8." Luke jokes around.

"Yeah, you are probably right" I reply to him, slowly starting to walk off. Suddenly, he grabs me by my waist, lifts me up and puts me on the kitchen counter. He slowly starts to passionately kiss my lips.

I heard the doorbell ring but Luke told me to leave it as Joe or Ashely will probably answer the door. Luke and I were still having our little moment when I see Joe and Shawn enter the kitchen, without any warning. Awkward.

"Umm...Am I interrupting something?" Shawn says with a grin.

"No, no...we were just...anyways, never mind. What do you want?" I say whilst sliding of the kitchen counter.

"My mum told me to come get something from your mum." He states.

"Well she's not back yet...but she should be here soon, so you can wait." I say in a annoyed manner.

"Yeah that's cool." He says as he walks to the living room with Joe.

The way I tried to avoid him today and once again he comes to my doorstep. I can't even be bothered with him, I have bigger problems on my mind. Luke and I made tea for everyone and then walked to the living room. As I walk in I see Ashley and Shawn chattering away, it looks like everyone is bonding with him, except for me. Maybe he's not as bad, wait, no he is, he's a dick. To take my mind of things I ask Joe and Ashley to run through our drama script together. Drama was my main goal at the moment and I had to make sure our performance was amazing. Ashley, Joe and I quickly go upstairs leaving Shawn and Luke in the living room.

Luke's POV

Gabby, Joe and Ashley all go upstairs to do some drama work, which means I'm stuck here with Shawn. I'm not really bothered to make a conversation so instead, I pull out my guitar and start to sing Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran.
"When your legs don't work like they used to before and I can't sweep you off of your feet..."
As I get to the chorus of the song I hear another voice accompanying mine. It's Shawn. He's quite good. Throughout the song I realise that our harmonies sound really good. When the song finished and I play the last note on my guitar, I see Gabby standing in the doorframe.

"Well, Luke, you sounded much better than how you did this morning." She laughs, completely ignoring Shawn's existence.

The front door flies open and Gabby's mum walks down the hallway and into the living room.
"Oh, hello mis amores!" Maria says smiling widely at the three of us.
Shawn follows Gabby's mum into the kitchen, collecting what he originally came for before quickly saying goodbye and rushing off. Joe and Ashley come down, stating that they have to go and get Ash's things and Gabby's mum starts on dinner.

"Mum, we're gonna go upstairs so just call us down when dinner's ready." Gabby shouts and she drags me up the stairs.
"I say, we finish what we started before we were rudely interrupted." I say before pushing her against the wall and kissing her roughly.

"Eager much?" She says as she bites her bottom lip.
I gently pick her up and place her on the bed. I stare deeply into her green eyes and realise how much I missed this. How much I missed kissing her in this way, touching her body, feeling her soft hands on my skin. I give her a quick deep kiss before taking off her shirt. My shirt soon joins hers on the floor somewhere and her hands travel down my torso. Good thing I've been working out recently. Gabby lets out a quiet moan as my hands make their way down her body.
"Gabby, Luke, dinner's ready!"

Fuck.

Gabby and I quickly throw on our shirts and rush down the stairs. As we make it to the dining table, I see Liam and Emily sitting across from where Gabby and I are supposed to sit. I look over at Gabby and see that her cheeks are slightly flushed. I know I'm not gonna be able to keep my hands off of her during dinner.
