He didn't come back to Mrs. Handley's class after that.
Lexis couldn't bare the fact that you left him – all alone – in that classroom, waiting to sketch a piece of his life, just for a guy like James. James, a boy who plays with girls like they're board games. A guy like him shouldn't even be with a girl like you.
But he can't make you stop doing what you want to do. So he kept away from you. Lexis didn't come to school all together, in fear he might see you again.
He couldn't stay home for long though.
The school had called home and informed his parents that he hasn't been attending class for nearly two weeks. They were worried something had happened to him. His parents were confused, and when they finally put the pieces together, yelled at him. They made sure he went to class.
When he came into Biology class, tardy, he couldn't help but notice your stare on the side of his head.
