I turned the doorknob to my dorm room, shoving the door open with my hip as I answered a text from Warren.

"Hey."

My eyes snapped up, my heart pounding in my chest at the sound of someone else's voice inside of my room.

I really need to lock my fucking door.

"Jesus fuck," I muttered at the sight of Parker in my desk chair.

"Jesus does not fuck Lee, that's rude."

I flipped him off, dropping my backpack by the foot of my bed. "What the hell are you doing in here?"

"I told you that I needed help on my Biology," he reminded me, gesturing towards his textbook and notes which were sprawled out across my desk.

"Yeah, I thought you meant after group later," I said, flopping down on my futon.

"Well I got out of class early today."

"Okay." I propped myself up on my elbow, glancing over at his Starbucks. "Did you bring me some?"

"Some what?" Parker asked, his gaze down at his phone.

"Coffee."

He glanced up at me with a tight smile. "Uh, no."

"The fuck?"

"The line was long and I was in a hurry."

"You better go back and get me some if you want my help."

"Take mine," he said, dismissively.

"I don't want your complicated shit. I want a Vanilla Mocha."

"Sorry." He tossed his phone up onto my desk. "I'll bring you some after group tonight."

"You better." I moved into a criss-cross position. "So?"

"Oh right, so I think the lesson is pretty simple but-"

"Not Biology," I declined. "Your Valentine's Day date."

He picked up his coffee, taking a sip. "Yeah, what about it?"

"I want to know! Who was she? How much did she bid? What did you guys do? I want the details."

"It's not that exciting so if we could just-"

"You're avoiding it so that means something happened," I said, a smile spreading across my face. "Parker Joseph, what did you do?"

"One, don't speak my middle name."

I couldn't help but laugh.

"Two..." He cleared his throat, glancing away from me. "It wasn't a she."

"What?"

"It. Wasn't. A. She. Am I not speaking English?" He glanced back over at me, an eyebrow raised in question.

"You went on a date with a guy," I clarified.

Because there could be many interpretations of that sentence.

"Yes."

I didn't even try to contain my laughter this time.

"Was this guy aware that you're straight?" I asked, sobering up a bit.

"Yes."

"And?"

"And what Lee?"

"And what did you guys do?" I questioned. "Where did you go? What was his name?"

"His name was Trevor. We went to dinner, which was included in the auction. And then we went putt putt golfing."

"Was that included in the auction too?"
