"Gregory's up." Jesus announced, opening the door.

"He wants to talk." He added.

I looked to Rick before I heard my name.

"To Sam." He replied.

"You got this." Rick stated, putting a hand on my back.

I nodded before walking over to Jesus.

"I'm sorry in advance. Gregory can be a real prick." Jesus stated.

"I know." I replied, following him down the hall.

I knocked on Gregory's door before I heard him clear his throat.

"Come in." Gregory ordered.

I opened the door, finding him laying on the bed.

"Sorry for the gloom. They have me on these antibiotics that make me sensitive to the sunlight." Gregory stated.

I walked into the middle of the room, in front of his bed.

"This is agony. It's like somebody's twisting my intestines with a cement mixer." He groaned.

"I know how it feels. It could've been worse." I replied.

"You're lucky we were here." I added.

"Jesus told you about our offer?" I asked.

"He did. What makes you think you can do what we haven't done?" He inquired.

"We've handled people like Negan." I answered.

"How?" He asked.

"They're dead." I replied. "We can get your man back."

"I don't know if Craig's worth the trouble." He groaned.

"I mean, it's his brother who did this." He added.

"He was fighting to save someone he loves." I replied.

"He was afraid. That makes him weak.
Frankly, I don't know if I want him back in our gene pool." He replied.

"There was this really wise man who used to tell me forgiveness takes more strength than anger." I replied.

"Yeah, I guess. He's a hell of a cook.
He makes these amazing baked eggs with green tomatoes." He stated.

"You give us supplies, we'll save Craig and take care of Negan and the Saviors, permanently." I replied, walking up to the foot of his bed.

"I'm sorry, I find this whole conversation pretty funny." He laughed.

"I mean, you balked when I proposed that your people work for our supplies, but now isn't that exactly what's happening here?" He added.

"We need food, you have it. We're willing to work for it." I replied.

"Then I'll get supplies for your people." He replied.

"Good." I mumbled.

"I'll talk to Jesus and he'll make the arrangements." He replied. "See, this was fun. Exciting."

"Half." I ordered.

"Excuse me?" He asked.

"Half of what you have. I saw what happened out there. Negan's expecting more supplies from this place.
And more and more. And if it keeps going like that, pretty soon you won't have anything left. What happens then? Without ammo, without fighters you'd be a dead man." I explained.
