I was down by the river when the message came. I was singing in Sindarin and dancing, my feet splashing in the shallows of the Nymphrodel.
"Lady Eleana," said a silvery voice. I turned suddenly, making the elf flinch.
"Oh, Haldir, I didn't see you there,"
I apologised.
"It doesn't matter," he said curtly "The Lady Galadriel would like to see you."

Galadriel wanted to see me? This was a rare occurrence. She favoured me of course, as she had sworn to protect me many moons ago, but we rarely spoke. I spent most days on my own, with only my horse Spirit for company. I nodded to Haldir and leapt into the branches of the nearest tree. I ran along its branches and into the next tree. Using this mode of transport, I quickly reached Caras Galadhon.

"Lady Galadriel," I gasped breathlessly as soon as I reached the right Flet.
"Eleana," she said "Catch your breath my child." I obliged and spent the next half minute regulating my breathing. I nodded when I was ready to continue.
"I believe you know who this is," she said, turning to look at the person walking down the staircase behind her.
"Mithrandir," I squealed, running to meet the old man.
"Eleana, Galadriel said you'd be pleased to see me," he laughed.
"I am!" I squealed, dancing about on the spot.
"Eleana, calm yourself," said Galadriel. I made an attempt at standing still and listened to what Mithrandir (Gandalf) had to say.
"I need someone to help me on a quest," he said "I need you to come with me on a quest to the Lonely Mountain with some companions to try and reclaim Erebor. We are to meet in the Shire in two months time, my associates house will have my mark on the door. You will receive full instructions at the meeting, understand?" I nodded.
"I understand Mithrandir," I said. He smiled at me and nodded.
"Well that's that then, I shall inform the others forthwith." And with that he strode away, down the stairs of the Flet and out into the forest.
"Go, my child, you must ready yourself for your journey," hastened Galadriel.
"Yes my lady." I curtsied respectfully and hurried away, heading for my little tree house (as I called it).
"This is it Spirit," I said to the horse as I loaded his saddlebags with provisions "We're finally going on an Adventure."
