Chapter Twenty Four

-_Megan's POV_-

The room was filled with silence after I asked the stupid question.I can him breathe.It looks like he was struggling in this situation.

Thinking that he'll say that it was stupid for him to like me,I chuckled.

"You know,you don't have to answer that.I already know--"

"Yes.I like you,"he said firmly while staring at me intently.

I took hold of my breath.Suddenly,my hand flew across my face.Well,I slapped my face.Believe me,it really hurts.My hand suddenly slapped me.

"What did you do?"he panicked.

"I thought this was a dream so I slapped my face."

He laughed then suddenly hugged me.

"Well,it is real.I like you,Meg.At first,I promised myself that I won't like you ever but I broke my promise and I don't regret any damn thing,"he said,cuddling me in his arms.

"Really?So,for both of us,the feelings mutual,"I said.

"Yeah.The feelings mutual."

-_Next Day_-

"I'm going on ahead,Lilly.Hadn't eaten breakfast this morning so.."I said.

"Yeah,you go ahead.I have lots of things to do."

I opened my mouth to answer but someone interrupted me.

"Where do you think you're going?"

Gabriel was behind me,raising one of his eyebrows.

"Going to eat lunch,"I said shortly.

"Well,not so fast."

As he said these words,he dragged me into his office.

"So,where do you want to eat?"he asked.

"We're going to eat lunch together?"

"Of course,"he said,"Well?"

"Y-you decide.I'm fine anywhere,anyway."

"Well,let's go now,"he smiled.

"Um,excuse me,sir,"Elise said,"There's a lady waiting to see you."

"A lady?Who?"he asked.

I looked at Gabriel first and then turned my gaze to Elise.

"She said she was..."

"Betty Green."

Then,I grew tired of waiting for Gabriel's answer so I looked at him.He was stiffed.Is he all right?

"Gabriel?Hey,Gabriel!"

Then,he lost consciousness.
