Chapt. 33 - AJ

Shit just crazy man. Jas came to the hospital and instantly just wrapped her arms around Zoe.

"The fuck going on here?"

I pulled Des to the side as Jas gave her a cold look.

"Dakari over there sleep, Zakai drowned at the lake. Chill for now. Yall do that shit at home."

Des made her way over to our sleeping son and Amiya.

"AJ how this happen?"

I told Jas exactly what went down. She was furious.

"What the hell? You don't tell a kid to watch another kid Zoe. You're the parent. You watch them both, I don't give a damn what yall was talking about."

Zoe sat there taking Jas in.

"Was the conversation that damn important?"

Zoe shook her head.

"Not important enough to end with my son in a damn hospital bed."

"Exactly. So get ya shit together. Clear yo damn mind and take care of him, watch him with ya own eyes. We should not be here."

The doctor came out as Jas mushed Zoe head.

"What's going on doc? Can I see my son?"

Jas and i stood back as Zoe talk to the doctor.

"Im sorry mamn but you can't. He's in ICU and there's a lady here from CPS that needs to speak with you."

The doctor walked off as Zoe walked in a circle with her hand on her head. I grabbed her shoulder as Jas arm was around her waist and Zoe arm was around Jas neck.

"From what we know there was noone watching Zakai around the water. You're his legal guardian and you were there but wasn't watching him... Mamn this is a very serious issue. As of now your son will be placed in the system until a court date is arranged. I suggest you get a good lawyer and someone will be contacting you with a date."

I held my head down as the lady walked away before Jas stopped her.

"Excuse me mamn, this was a big mistake. She's great with him, it was all a mistake. Please don't take him from her. Atleast let me get him."

"May I ask who you are?"

"Jasmyne Williams, her ex girlfriend. He knows me, he loves me just as much as he loves her."

The lady wrote down some notes.

"Ill be in contact with you this week. Let me talk this over with my boss and see what she thinks."

"Thank you."

The lady nodded and walked off.

"So nobody could call me? Why you want custody? Im with Zoe now, I should get him. Yall in here like a big ass family with my girl and our kids."

Jas let go of Zoe and stepped to Whit.

"Bitch I been trying to be nice to you but you pushing it. Girlfriend or not you didn't even want your own daughter cause of a female but now you want Zakai just cause you dating Zoe. You got life fucked up. If Zoe had to choose she'd choose me anyway cause I've been nothing but a mother to him. You want to make yourself look as good as you can but we all know you full of shit. Real bitches can point out another real bitch from a mile away. You in my face and I can't even point your wanna be me ass out... Zoe get ya bitch."

Jas walked off and took Dakari from Des as he started waking up.

"You good bro?"

Zoe looked at me with eyes screaming for help and shook her head.

"Go home, get some rest. Jas and I will stay a lil longer and see if they'll tell us anything else or let us see him."

She nodded.

"Appreciate it. That's why you my nigga. I love you."

"I love you too, go home."

We dapped eachother up before she left with Whitney and Ursa.

"That girl gone drive her crazy."

Des and Jas spoke in Unison.

"Fuck that bitch."
