"This is one huge ass tent." Sam says as he walks into the tent Dean bought, setting up sleeping bags for all of us. I set up a lantern outside of the tent while Dean goes inside of the tent to set up the other lantern. "It's already getting dark." I whine nervously.

I hate the woods. Hate it.

It's like they attract bad things or something of the sort.

We finish setting up our little camp site and the three of us climb into the tent.  Sam slowly zips it up, closing us in.  "So what exactly are we going to do?"  I ask, curious.  "The plan is for the three of us honestly, is to sit here and wait it out.  We just need to be extremely quiet and wait until we hear something unusual.  We've got our flashlights and guns full of silver bullets in here with us just in case.  If anyone gets tired, we can take turns taking shifts.  At least one of us needs to stay awake."  Sam says as we all sit down, getting comfortable.

"Should we surround the tent in salt?  Just in case?"  I ask.  I feel so vulnerable in this tent, I mean, we're literally in the middle of the woods.  Our only protection right now is the thin material of the tent, which will do nothing for us.  "Actually, that's a good idea.  I don't know why I didn't think of that earlier."  Dean says as he quickly gets up, unzipping the tent.  "I'll be right back you guys, this will only take a second."  He gets out of the tent and zips it right back up.

I look over at Sam and half smile, letting out a sigh. He smiles back at me and then looks down at the flashlight in his hands, fiddling with it. We both stay quiet for a few seconds, the silence almost becoming awkward. I finally speak up.

"Back to our conversation from earlier, Sam...you need a woman. You really need a woman." I bring it up again. Sam just laughs at me while he shakes his head. "Why are you stuck on the idea that I need to be set up with someone?" He asks, sitting the flashlight beside him. "Because—I don't know...I just think you're a great guy and you need to have something else other than all of this." I say as I look around. "Life is more than just killing monsters and being on the road with your brother and his girlfriend all the time. I just feel like you need someone in your life...someone to love." Sam slowly shakes his head as I say this, he looks me in the eyes. "Trust me, I know that more than you think. I know there's more to life, but I just...feel like...how can I drag some innocent person into this crazy life of mine? I mean at least you're used to—". Sam stops as he realizes what he's about to say.

I sigh, finishing his sentence for him. "Used to death. At least I'm used to death." Sam immediately begins to shake his head at me, an apologetic look overtaking his innocent face. "Elena, I didn't mean it like that. I don't mean—". I cut him off, "It's okay Sam, I promise. You're right." Sam shakes his head once again, "No I meant you're used to all of this in a good way. You're strong as hell. You're one of the strongest people I know and you're used to saving lives and making a difference in the way that we do. You aren't afraid—you don't get scared away. You've been through so much yet you're still so incredibly selfless." He gets up from his spot and moves over to me, sitting right next to me.

He wraps his arm around me and squeezes me, hugging me.  "Do you get what I'm saying though?  I don't know...it just feels wrong."  He says in a quiet voice.  I look over at him as he pulls his arm away from me, resting it to his side.  "I get it.  I understand it.  But, you have to let yourself be happy.  Think about yourself for once."  I say, watching him as he looks back at me.  He half smiles and then turns away, looking at the ground.

He stays quiet and all that can be heard now is the wind blowing outside of the tent.  I notice he almost looks a little sad. "You okay?" I ask, looking over at him. He takes a deep breath and his head quickly turns toward me. "Yeah, I'm—I'm good." He answers before looking back down at the his hands.
