Beginning of the end?

You woke up and looked at your phone, expecting to see a text from your bestie. Surprisingly, there were no messages from Erik.
That's weird, he usually texts me before I wake up, you ponder as you get ready for school.
You go outside and wait for Erik to walk with you. You wait and wait.
Ugh, how much longer. I already texted him a thousand times. Why isn't he replying. Omg we're gonna be late! You start to get impatient.
You look at the time and panic!
"OMG, SCHOOL ALREADY STARTED!" You shout out loud as you sprint down the road to your school.
Damn you Erik.

You arrive at your school. You catch your breath and enter the classroom calmly. You were ten minutes late. Luckily, the teacher didn't care, so you quickly took your seat.

At lunch, you sat at the table where you and Erik usually sat. You start eating while you waited for Erik, but he never came.
What the heck! Where is he!? Ugh he has some serious explaining to do! You furiously get up from your table and walk to class.

(Time skip to 6th period)

You enter your 6th period class. You take your seat and wait for your baka friend.
You see him come in and take his seat, without saying hello to you.
WTF! What is his problem? Is he ok? You were angry and worried.
"Thanks for making me late to school, Erik!" You say as you walk up to him.
"What do you want, leave me alone." Erik says coldly.
"Why didn't you reply to my texts?" You say ignoring his statement.
"Cuz you are annoying, now go away." He says without looking at you.

The bell rings and you return to your seat.
I'm not letting this go, Erik. You let him know as you take out your books.
He turns around and gives you a mean look, as if your presence was disgusting.
You mentally flinch. It was like the first time you two met.
You let go of your emotions and continue to concentrate on your work.
