Thor never realised how much Rosabelle mattered to Loki until they returned to Asgard. Loki immediately lost the light in his eyes, and just stared down at the ground avoiding eye contact. He even slumped forward in defeat, even when listening to Odin about his punishment. "You are to retire in prison for the rest of your life!" Odin declared, banging Gungir on the ground. If even possible, Loki looked even more defeated, his eyes closed shut, a small tear managing to come out. Thor suddenly heard a voice in his head.

"I'm sorry, Rosabelle."

Thor snapped his gaze to Loki, shocked. Did he just hear that from Loki? Why?
Thor noticed that Loki didn't seem to be aware on what was happening. Thor turned to his father to tell him about what he heard, only to see Odin staring at Loki bewildered and curious.
"Who is this Rosabelle you speak of?" Odin demanded. Loki's eyes snapped open, glaring intently at Odin with hatred - the first true emotion Thor saw on his brothers face that day. It was clear Loki wasn't going to say. Thor decided to tell their father, in hope for his decision to change about Loki's punishment.
"A friend of mine's daughter." Thor told Odin, much to Loki's dismay.
"Thor, you oaf! Stop talking to him!" Loki yelled in Thor's head.
"Tony Stark, man of Iron, has a daughter. She's in her twenties. She has shown Loki kindness ever since she found Loki on her balcony. She's been keeping him company and daresay, made Loki back to what he was before everything went downhill in Jotunheim." Thor said, barely managing to hide his wince from Loki's loud thoughts sent to him.
"Is that so. . ." Odin mused, resting back in his throne. Loki said nothing and simply glared between the two. "Well then. . .I change my mind. You are to not go to prison for life, you are to go back to Midgard under their control." Odin banged Gungir again. "It is now up to them if they want to remove those stitches from your lips. You may come back to Asgard when you have learnt your lesson. You are dismissed!"

Rosabelle walked out of her room with a yawn, her bed hair all over the place. It was Boxing Day, which meant another party for the Stark party. Tony thought that every event should be celebrated - when really, he just wanted to find an excuse to party.
Ignoring the group of Avengers in the living room having a heated talk, Rosabelle walked into the kitchen to make breakfast. The conversation the Avengers were having in the living room halted as soon as she entered.
Without glancing in their direction, Rosabelle greeted them. "Morning Dad, Mum, guys."
"Morning sweetheart." Pepper said. "Look -"
"I got a dress for tonight, don't worry." Rosabelle told her, pouring herself a glass of juice. "But I'm going with no date. I have no one to go with - and I'll be helping you, Mum, making sure Dad's party is going to be cool."
"Rosie there's someone here to see you." Tony said, finally being able to speak up after his daughter's small rant.
"Someone to see me? But I don't really have any friends outside of SHIELD -"

CRASH!

Rosabelle gasped at the person she was staring at. She had turned around from the kitchen, to see Loki surrounded by the Avengers, handcuffs on still, and his lips still sewn shut. In shock, she had dropped her glass of juice, causing a mess that Tony did not approve of.
"My floor!" he complained.
"Loki!" Avoiding the mess on the ground, Rosabelle ran to Loki and wrapped her arms around his waist, burying her face in his chest. Loki tried to return the hug, only for his hands to not cooperate since they were broken, and because of the fact he was handcuffed. "Oh my God you're actually here!"
Although Loki couldn't smile or say anything, everyone could see that the God of Mischief was happy to see Rosabelle by the way his eyes had lit up, and the way he was nuzzling his face into her hair. Tony cleared his throat, still uncomfortable at the sight of his daughter and an enemy being intimate. "So I guess this is like, a late Christmas present for you." Tony shrugged. "You're welcome."
"Why are the two of you here?" Rosabelle asked the two demigods. "Not that I'm complaining or anything, but isn't Loki supposed to be getting his punishment?"
"He is." Thor nodded. "He is to reside here with you all until he is worthy to come home."
"Really?" Rosabelle perked up. Tony closed his eyes in annoyance, along with the others though they hid it better than Tony.
"Really." Thor nodded with a small smile. "If it wasn't for Loki thinking of you, he would have resided in Asgard prison for the rest of his life."
"You thought of my daughter when you were getting your punishment?" Tony glared at Loki. Clint couldn't help but snicker.
"That sounded so kinky, Stark."
"I understood that!" Steve exclaimed with a victorious smile. He lost it quickly at the glares he was getting from Tony, and glared at Clint who was laughing behind his hand, trying to hide it as a cough.
"Odin has also said, Loki's sewn mouth can be undone if one of you want it to." Thor told them.
"Uh-uh." Natasha said.
"No way." Clint said.
"Are you crazy?" Tony said.
"Um, I don't want to unleash the Hulk." Bruce said.
"I don't think that's a good idea." Steve said.
"I want it out."
"WHAT!"
Tony sighed in disappointment. "I should have known you were gonna say that." Tony mumbled.
"I know you all hate Loki," Rosabelle started, standing in front of Loki protectively, "but I care for him. You just have to accept that." Her eyes brightened as an idea popped into her head. "I'll be responsible for his actions. I'll look after him."
"Rosie -" Pepper started.
"Mum, trust me, please." Rosabelle begged. "Nothing bad will happen. I promise."

"Loki!" she giggled, struggling to get out of his grasp. "I have to get rid of these braces on your hands!"
Months have passed since the day they reunited, and slowly everyone got used to the fact that their old enemy was in their realm, doing good instead of bad.
Like Rosabelle promised, nothing bad happened when under control, and instead it was quite peaceful in the Stark Tower apart from when Rosabelle and Loki are up to something bad. And when I mean bad, as in small pranks on the team. This one time they replaced Clint's arrows with fake toy ones, changed some of Tony's alcohol to just water with food colouring, and so on. Even though the team didn't like the pranks, they were glad it was only just pranks and Loki wasn't up to anything bad.
Loki also finally had the freedom to talk, now that the thread was out of his lips. The team may have not missed his snide comments, but Rosabelle completely melted at the sound of his low, baritone voice. And because he was able to talk, he then explained to them about why he crashed into Midgard all injured. He explained that he was captured by Thanos after being left alone in Svartlheim when Thor thought he was dead. Thanos healed him, only to torture him for failing his mission back in New York. Luckily one day, Loki was able to escape, only to land in Midgard on Rosabelle's balcony. He assured them that he had no evil plans and came in peace while also doing his punishment, the punishment being helping his old enemies when needed.
Weeks passed, and Rosabelle realised that she was falling in love with the God of Mischief when she was having a chat with her mother one day.

"So is there anything going on with the two of you?" Pepper had asked her daughter.
"No, why?" Rosabelle had blushed madly at the question.
"No reason," she shrugged, "just the 'secret' looks the two of you would give to each other."
"Mum!" Rosabelle groaned, hiding her face in her hands. Pepper laughed at her daughter's embarrassment, bringing her into her arms.
"I approve if you guys ever get together, though." Pepper told her quietly. "You've changed him for the good, anyone can see that - even your father. He's just too stubborn to admit it."
"Thanks, Mum." Rosabelle smiled shyly up at her.

After that conversation, Rosabelle had picked up the courage to confess her feelings to Loki. She was quite surprised when he had returned the feelings - and before you knew it, they were together.
Rosabelle had also finally revealed the project that was for Loki; hand braces that would fix his broken hands. They were connected to his nerves system which made the braces cooperate to what he wanted his hands to do. Loki was in awe at the creation and grateful to be with someone as kind and beautiful as Rosabelle.
"You ready?" she grinned. Loki mirrored her grin, nodding. Rosabelle went to business, removing the braces that helped Loki fix his hands. Loki had to wear them for a couple of months, only to wear them for a couple of weeks thanks to his fast healing. Rosabelle couldn't wait. Instead of feeling metal mostly when holding his hand, she was going to feel his bare skin. She was going to be able to hold his hands without anything blocking their touch.

It was done.

Loki lifted his hands up to his face, clenching them at his demand, grinning when they cooperated. He grinned at Rosabelle, cupping her face in his hands, feeling her soft skin for the first time. Then without another word, he brought his head down to hers, their lips connecting. Rosabelle happily melted into the kiss, feeling the bumps in his lips from where thread used to be. But Rosabelle didn't care; she was happy and didn't care if Loki wasn't perfect. In her eyes, he was perfect; scars from the past or not.
She was happy, and Loki finally felt peace and content for the first time in a long time.

And nothing could harm them.
