There she is,
unnoticed by most.
The girl all girls envy,
the girl no boys see.
You see, this girl,
she is anything but ordinary,
she is different than others,
raised well,
kind to others.
It is seldom we see
people like that.
It is a site to see,
and I'll leave it at that.
She helps the weak,
and is bullied by others,
yet,
she is nice to them all.
She does not let them,
tamper her day.
She tries to stay positive,
whilst her whole world crumbles,
she still stands,
fighting to hold it up.
Then one day,
she is noticed by a boy.
A gorgeous boy,
that stays on her mind,
just as she stays on his.
She does not believe,
that he could ever like her.
Two different social classes,
ones that society says must not clash.
He doesn't recognize her,
nor know her name,
but is drawn to her
all the same.
He sets out to find her,
his mystery girl,
the girl who stole his heart.
He searches long and far,
but she flies right off of the chart!
Jealous women,
evil and corrupt they are,
hide our dear Cinderella,
in a place he will not find.
Until finally,
after all of the painful searches,
he finds what he has lost,
and she fills up the hole in his heart
with all of her love.
Her love,
her care,
her passion,
her beautiful hair.
Her speech,
her skin,
her inability to sin.
He found his Cinderella,
so now I set out this task for you:
Find your Cinderella,
and hold her close.
No matter what,
don't ever let her go.
Do not disappoint her,
only show her love.
'Cause love is important,
as it is sent from above.
Things will be tough,
because we all know,
there is no happy ending,
unless you make it so.
So basically I made this poem because Cinderella is a movie that I can never avoid. Yesterday, the movie, "A Cinderella Story" starring Hilary Duff came on. I watched it and I started thinking about all of the other Cinderella type movies I've seen. (Rags- starring Max Schneider, Another Cinderella Story- starring Selena Gomez, Cinderella-2015, Cinderella-1950, A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song-starring Lucy Hale, etc) So yeah, I hope you liked the poem and I will be updating my book, "The Power of Girl" today. Also, I did not choose the "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" for this poem because this song has more random crazy words and I like the randomness so deal with it!! 😁
