A NOT-SO PLAUSIBLE DESPERATION

it's the crevice between our hearts that separates us from ever molding,

the antigravitons that deny us from ever holding,

your smile warded evil,

but our love lured sins.

you didn't look up at the stars,

instead you looked down

as they looked up to you,

you carried the universe in your eyes,

and I was nothing more than a planet orbiting a solar system in the infinite cosmos.

we were seperate,

I was desperate,

and the distance between us banned our becoming,

my heart sought for yours,

but when I loved you.

dams didn't break,

the universe became finite,

nebulas didn't house stars,

oceans didn't overflow,

time didn't stop,

and symphonies never seemed to play.

your heart seems overwritten now,

and I don't have the heart to write
another overused metaphor.
