As the hours ticked by, Caleb grew drowsy. He walked over to a wooden chair, which seemed to be from the renaissance era. He sat down in the chair, and drifted off into a deep sleep. However, rather than waking up suddenly, hours later, Caleb saw a nothing but darkness. He started to hear a faint clicking sound. The clicking started to become louder, as if it were moving closer to Caleb. He soon found that it wasn't the clicking moving closer, rather, it was him, walking in the direction of the sound, unwillingly. He walked for what seemed like about ten minutes, when he came up on a small building, which looked a lot like the old steel mill. However, this building looked as if it were only a year or two old.
Caleb walked up to the door of the building, which was placed in the same spot as the door of the steel mill. The clicking continued, as he reached for the door knob. Upon opening the door, he found what was causing the clicking. The mechanisms, that turn on a rather large generator, had just been started up, and the gears clicked when the mechanism was running.
Caleb was finally able to move around freely, and was about to make a break for it, when he heard footsteps. Scared that someone might catch him inside the mill, Caleb ducked behind one of the largest gears and waited for the footsteps to pass by. Luck wasn't on Caleb's side, as a worker walked over to where Caleb was hiding, and picked Caleb up, by the collar.
"Looks like we have a trespasser on our property. You've got some explaining to do lad." He told Caleb, forcefully.
Caleb became a bit scared. "I-I'm sorry. I don't know how I got here and-" He was cut off by the worker.
"Not to me. You'll need to explain it to our manager." The worker told him, as he literally carried Caleb across the room. He opened a door and put Caleb down, on his feet. He pushed Caleb inside and closed the door.
Caleb looked around the dark room. He could barely see anything, due to the lights being off. "Um, is anyone in here?" He asked, hoping no one would answer.
A door, on the opposite side of the room, opened and a middle aged man walked inside. He looked at Caleb and gave him a small smile. "Hello Caleb, about time you got here."
Caleb, confused by this, simply looked around the room, hoping to find someone else named Caleb. However, there was no one else in the room. "H-how do you know my name?" He asked the man, confused at how a man, who he had never met, would know his name.
The man frowned. "You don't recognize your own grandfather? It's me, Allacaed." He told Caleb, with a wishful look, as if he didn't really expect Caleb to believe him, he just wished he would.
"Allacaed? Dad's told us about you. Of course, I think you should know-" Caleb started to tell him about Angela, but Allacaed stopped him.
"That Angela is missing? She's not missing, she's with me." Allacaed said with another small smile.
Caleb gasped, astonished by what he was just told. "Where are you guys?"
Allacaed smirked. "Well now. Why should I tell you that? We're having so much fun, and I thought you wanted her to have fun. Don't worry young pup, she's safe here. You're welcome to come here, if you can find us."
"Huh?" Caleb asked, confused by this.
"Think of it as a test. I will give you a hint, to help you in your test. But only one." Allacaed sounded like he was teaching Caleb how to play a board game.
"Ok, what's the clue? And how do I get out of this hole?" Caleb asked him.
"Well first off, you're no longer in the hole. You were pulled out about 3 hours ago. Your friend is waiting for you to wake up. As for the clue, where the raven stands, and a building with life is now gone, follow the angel's way." Allacaed instructed of him.
Caleb was caught off guard by the first thing he was told, and then confused by the second. "How long have I been asleep?" He asked Allacaed. However, Allacaed didn't answer for he, along with the scenery and everything Caleb saw, faded.
"You've been asleep for at least 3 hours." A familiar voice answered his question.
"Huh?" Caleb asked no one in particular, as he opened his eyes. He turned his head, and saw Jennie sitting in a recliner, with a t-shirt, and short shorts on. Caleb sat up, looked around, and realized he was on the couch, in Jennie's living room.
Her mother, Diane Fitzgerald, walked into the living room, with a bowl of pasta, and a can of Dr. Pepper. She set the can down, on the coffee table, in front of Caleb, and then handed him the bowl of pasta. "Here hun. You need to eat up, so you can have the strength to continue your search. Jennie told me what you two are doing, and I think it's very loving of you, to want to find to your sister. If you need any help, I am here for you two." She informed them.
Jennie smiled at them. "Thanks mom. You're the best." She then looked at Caleb. "You must have been having some dream. You were tossing and turning a lot."
"I did." Caleb told her.
"What was it about?" Jennie asked him.
Diane sat down, in another recliner and listened to the two, as they talked.
Caleb told Jennie about his dream. He told her about how his grandfather had called him pup, and he told her the clue to help him find Angela. "So what do you think the clue means?" Caleb asked Jennie.
Jennie had a puzzled look on her face. "I'm not sure."
Diane spoke up. "I think he's referring to the Ravens Crest Bar, in the center of town. It used to be a hospital." She told them.
"What about the Angel?" Caleb asked.
"Simple, there's a statue of an Angel, in the middle of the town center. The angel is pointing to something." She told them.
The two teens looked awestruck by this. They didn't know what to say. Could it really be that easy, to find Angela? Just go to where the angel is pointing to?
