The next morning all four Exorcists went to the cafeteria car for breakfast, having woken up around the same time. Although, Kanda did resist.
Still, they all managed to sit in a four-person booth, Zion sitting on the outside next to her anti-social boyfriend so that he couldn't escape. A train staff-member came up to them, pouring hot coffee into each of their cups.
Sitting in the other booth corner, Xael quietly nibbled on eggs, trying to inch as far away as possible from the fiery boy next to her.
"So, Xael." Zion began with a grin. "Tell us more about yourself."
"Hm?" The shorter girl looked up with wide brown eyes. "Like what?"
"Where you're from, your Innocence... things like that?"
Kanda was staring at his coffee, but the other two were looking at Xael, glancing down at their food every-so-often. But, they were all listening and paying attention to her.
"I'm from Malta, which is an island just below Italy."
"Ah, I've seen pictures! It looks like it's really pretty."
The dark-haired girl smiled gently to herself. "Yeah, it is."
"Man, I wanna visit." Zion commented excitedly.
Lavi hummed flirtatiously, "Maybe you'll take me there someday."
Xael ignored him, not in the mood to deal with his personality. She shuffled through the pockets in her shorts, pulling out an engraved, narrow metallic object. "This is my Innocence."
Zion blinked, unsure what to make of the small thing.
Knowing they were at a loss, the other girl explained. "It's basically the handle for a bow. When I command, the limbs grow from it. But the actual Innocence is in the arrows, which also form on my command."
"It's like my Iron Hammer." Lavi practically cheered. "It grows and moves on my command."
"Maybe." She hummed in agreement.
"Has Hevlaska looked at it?"
Xael blinked, jogging her memory. "Oh!" She recalled the Exorcist who didn't even look human with a pale complexion and tentacles growing from her skin. "When I first found it, someone from Central took me to her. Although I never really remembered how to get around the European Branch, nor do I really remember anyone I met with there."
"When we get to a bigger space, maybe on the ship, we can see it..." Zion trailed, her voice getting higher in a questioning tone at the end of her words.
"Yeah, of course." Xael agreed. "By the way, what are those bracelets you where?" She pointed at the crimson rings wrapped around the brunette's wrists.
"These are actually my Innocence. It's crystalized. I call it Lance Écarlate. When activated, it's a rapier." She answered, twisting her arms to show off the crystalized rings.
"That sounds really fancy." The shorter girl commented in awe. "I just call mine Arcus." She rolled the 'r.'
"It's so exciting to have another girl on the team." Zion chirped.
"I agree." Lavi leaned to the side, winking suggestively.
Both the girl's clicked their tongues bitterly.
"What?!" The red-haired boy whined. "Then I don't always have to be a third wheel!"
---------------
After they finished, Kanda was quick to retreat and find a place to hide.
The other three hadn't seen him for the entire day, not even Zion. Sure, it was typical of him to disappear for several hours, but he would eventually make an appearance sometime before night-fall.
