Dear Connor,

Happy December! I don't know if you celebrate Christmas, but December always gets me in the Christmas spirit. I think I'm getting my Christmas tree this weekend, which is always fun.

You dated her for nine months and never felt like you loved her? I guess I can't really judge, I dated Kevin for a solid year before I felt comfortable saying "I love you". But if you didn't have those super strong feelings for her, it must make the breakup just a tiny bit easier. Not much, of course. But a bit.

I would love to add you on Facebook! Just as long as you agree to keep hearing my stories and not judge me; I pretty much post my entire life on social media and I'm not afraid to have it out with someone online; which you probably already guessed from my twitter (my middle name could be "subtweet"). I'll add you as soon as I finish this letter.

It's good that you don't have to see Ashley a lot in school. I have to see Kevin constantly, and he's always all over Delaney; they act like they've been together for two years instead of two weeks. I'm still not used to it, and it makes me crazy that he moved on so quickly. I'm sorry if Ashley finds someone else; it sucks to have to watch that, especially when you're not the one who screwed up in the relationship, or the one who ended it. It sucks to be that person in general, actually.

I do have a lot of good friends, but they're not online quite as much as me, except for my best friend, Jen Hamile. She's been in the Bahamas on vacation for the past two weeks for her parent's 30th wedding anniversary trip, and she left her phone at home (she was pissed—she had to take all of her pictures on her mom's old phone). She texted me the second she got home and let me know that she would be ready to defend me the next time something happened, and she's held true to her word. Trey seems like a good friend, and I'm glad I could defend you the other day; Ashley doesn't seem like she knows how to apologize the right way.

As for TV shows, you pretty much just named my three favorite shows (Netflix is such a miracle). The Office gave me ultimate relationship goals with Jim and Pam, how could it not? And Parks and Rec is hilarious, April and Ron are my two favorite characters! You've clearly guessed my personality well based on these letters! I'm not quite as angry at the world as April is, but her sarcasm gives me LIFE. Chandler is my favorite character in Friends, and Joey/Phoebe/Rachel are tied for second, I honestly can't pick. Monica is fifth, and Ross is last. The Gellers just don't quite do it for me, clearly.

I hope your life's drama gets better, and I'm sure I'll see some more of it once I add you on Facebook. Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Sydney Porter
