"Oh my god, Andy look at the sky!"
I smiled at my beautiful boyfriend of five years. We were vacationing in Japan and it was a LOVELY sight to see. I bit my lip as my hand shook nervously as I held a small box in my pocket. I was going to pop the big question. I was nervous as fuck. What if he says no? Then what? I love Ashley so much, It'll kill me if he said otherwise.
"Yes, the sky is almost as beautiful as you.." He smiled as me as the gentle winds blew his hair. His cheeks were a tad bit red. I brushed the strands that were covering his face.
"Andy, stop that. I'm not that beautiful."
"Well you better believe it." I smiled. "Beacuse you are." he blushed a deeper red as we continued our evening stroll. We came upon a bridge making Ashley gasped in shock.
"Oh my god, Andy look at this place. Look, a cherry blossom tree! I fucking love those."
Ashley always loved sights like this. He talks non stop about cherry blossom trees. I even call him that. My cherry blossom. We admired the many petals falling from the tree to the pond, the gentle sounds of the water, and the sunset was just perfect. Perfect for me.
"Baby?" he turns to me after taking a picture of the tree.
"Yeah?" I took a breath and took Ashley's hands. He looks at me scared and confused but soon he looks at me as a husband. Hopefully.
"Ashley, I just wanna start off by saying I love you so much. I can't even measure it, it's out of this world." Ashley smiles.
"I love you too."
"When I'm around you. The world makes sense. I feel like I'm in my own little world when I'm with you. You're my air. My everything. My cherry blossom."
"Oh, Andy.." Ashley blushes. "You're so sweet."
"Well, I guess what I'm trying to say is.."
My hand comes out my pocket showing a small black box. Ashley's mouth comes to an 'O' covering his mouth as I got down on one knee. I can see tears forming in his eyes as did mine. God I was shaking.
"Ashley, my sweet sweet cherry blossom...will you make me the happiest, luckiest, most awesome man alive and marry me?"
People were gather around us interested in what Ashley had to say. He was shaking and sobbing hard.
"Are you serious?"
"Yes?" smiled. I love you...marry me, baby. Marry me."
He wipes his eyes and nods shutting them. I smiled big putting the ring on his finger. He is officially mine. The people around us clapped and cheered for us wishing us the best. We thanked everyone and went on our walk. Ashley looks at the ring.
"Hello kitty.." I smiled at the ring.
"Yes, you love hello kitty and I wanted to put it on your ring."
"Awe.."
"Look inside of the ring," I whisper in his ear. He looks at the inside which read:
Andy and Ashley-Forever. I love you, my cherry blossom. Forever and always.
"Oh Andy.." He grabs me and gives a passionate loving kiss. It was perfect. Under the tree as the small petals fall in our hair, being in this wonderful place, but mostly, having my whole world in my arms. I'm lucky. We pull away with me still having my arms wrapped around him. He looks up at me with those big beautiful brown eyes I've always fell in love with.
"I love you," he smiles. I smile and kissed his forehead.
