Hermione woke up to sound of her red headed best friend yelling her to get her butt off her bed. Hermione rubbed her eyes and groggily woke up. She saw her friend in a giant trench coat with some sort of a teal ball gown underneath. Ginny yelled "Are you ready to celebrate my birthday!" Ginny said while pulling off her trench coat to reveal the most gorgeous gown. Hermione jumped and looked up at her friend while still rubbing her eyes to clear her vision when she said "Happy Birthday Gin! I love you but why'd you wake me up you know I would have been at your house in an hour to wish you anyway."
"Yes I do know but today I thought I would come to you..." Ginny mentioned hesitantly.
"What did Ron do now?" Hermione sighed with her fingertips resting on her forehead in frustration.
"Ron... may or may not have... askedLavendertomovein and he may have givenherahousekey which she now wears around her neck like a dog collar." Ginny slurred her words as if to avoid the wrath of Hermione.
"In all the years Ron and I have been together... he never once gave me his house key... was he even planning on marrying me Gin? I mean we had the world's longest engagement only for it to be broken off by the Daily Prophet gossiping about those two pigs making out."
Ginny sat next to Hermione on the corner of her bed and hugged her. She sighed and said "Hermione I don't know if he was going to marry you, but I honestly would have told you if knew he was going to cheat. I can tell you one thing for sure though... those who dwell on the past lose their future."
Hermione smiled and said "You want to see the dress I got for your thirtieth party?"
"Do I ever?!" Ginny screamed.
Hermione pulled out a red mini dress and said "Now imagine me in this hot dress with a hot messy bun and bright red lipstick and gorgeous black stilettos."
Ginny smiled and got up and said " I can do you one better. Imagine you the way you just described but with a HOT date on your arm".
Suddenly Hermione heard a knock as if the scene was rehearsed. When she opened the door in came Draco in a black tuxedo and black tie. He fixed the collars of his crip white shirt and spun around so Hermione could get a good look at him. Hermione looked at Ginny and sighed " I'm gonna take a wild guess Gin and say that Draco is my plus one to your party."
Ginny smiled sheepishly and Draco said "Don't humiliate me Granger.. I'm never a plus one Ginny gave me my own invite."
Hermione smiled and she said "You got your OWN invite that's great! That means we can bring our OWN plus ones and you can go model for another girl in town." Hermione then pushed him out and slammed the door while laughing infectiously.
Hermione smiled and said " I appreciate the dating service Gin but this is your birthday which means we have a lot to cover. One of the items on our checklist can be finding me a hot date!"
Ginny's birthday was the one gala event of the year that all wizards attended. Everyone in the Wizarding world was practically invited. Harry put on tuxedo and gave a speech about the copious amounts of love he has for his wife and Ginny got to live the extravagant life she had always dreamed of. The party was cover by every wizarding news publication and Harry spent the majority of his annual salary to make his wife happy. As you ca imagine this took a lot of work, and that is where Hermione came in. With her organization skills, Hermione played the role of an event planner as she put on her headset and took out her checklist to make sure everything was perfect for her best friend. This year's theme was a night in Paris. Paris was where Harry and Ginny spent the last part of their honeymoon in and it was Ginny's favorite spot of them all. Hermione dropped Ginny back to the Weasley house and went to the banquet hall where everything had to be put together. In a matter of minutes Hermione started throwing around orders. A red carpet was rolled out and there were velvet ropes on each side to keep the photographers from attacking the guests. Inside the banquet hall, Hermione threw around some spells until the walls were a midnight blue color and the ceiling had stars painted on them. In the corner was a gold metal replica of the Eiffel tower that almost touched the ceiling. Hermione set up gold curtains on either side of the stage and translucent glow in the dark cubes for the DJ to set up his station at. On each table were white table covers and a small electric candle to amp up the ambience. Gold lanterns hung from all around the room just to lighten things up . Finally, Hermione had the caterers set up their food before she left the hall. She rushed back home and started to get ready when she realized that she still had to get herself a date. Now that she had challenged Malfoy to get their own plus ones she refused to lose to him. She looked through her contact when she found a coworker that she had always considered good looking but never done anything about because she was with Ron. She picked up her phone and dialed his number and said

"Hey Neal this is Hermione!" She said with enthusiasm
"Hey Hermione are we getting called into the office on a Saturday?" Neal said hesitantly
"No... of course not... I was just wondering if you'd want to be my date Ginny's birthday tonight?" Hermione asked shyly
"Um.. wow yeah I would love that Hermione. I'l pick you up at 7?" Neal said
"Yeah that sounds great" Hermione said and then hung up.
She sighed and sat down on her couch. She took out her pen ad checked the last thing off her list for Ginny's perfect party.
